? Food Options for Theodore

Hello,

We were advised Theodore should be looking for a different food that would work better for him as his creatinine to protein was high. We were feeding Fancy Feast Pates, Dr. Esleys Dry - Chicken, Churro Treats, PureBites as toppers.

As a background on Theodore, he has FIV, Megacolon, Diabetes now high Protein to Creatinine ratio. I am trying to find a good option for his wet food replacement. I am giving Young Again another shot for the dry portion as it's lower in phosphorus. I understand many are against dry but he gets backed up without his dry food and it's a very small portion of his diet so I don't want to change that. He's super sensitive to change.

I'm sorry no one has responded. Is the vet suggesting a lower protein diet or more of a kidney diet (i.e., low phosphorus)?

I'm tagging @Diane Tyler's Mom. She has a list of low phosphorus canned foods that may be an option for Theodore.

if you tap on this link and look at post #32 I listed some Weruva pates for another member that's low carb/ low phosphorus. I'm pretty sure you can get Weruva in Canada

Thank you Diane, I will try some of the Pates, I did try the WX line from Weruva and my poor Theo wouldn't even touch it. I can't say I blamed him. I will try the Pates, I tried the Weruva/BFFs shredded versions but it seems like he mostly just drank the liquids which worried me
