Libre unavailable as Ivy pulled it off
Well….
Yesterday began with some lower numbers for many hours to then bounce and or lose duration up to pinks later in the afternoon. She tends to have this pattern when going lower in a cycle.
Pm cycle was as expected since I fed 12.5% food for her meal and snacks since I was out to dinner. She came down to yellow and blue later in the cycle after the carbs were off.
First thing this morning, I thought something was weird as I wasn’t getting readings on the Libre and Ivy didn’t come to greet me when it was time to eat.
So I went downstairs to find her and saw that she had pulled her Libre off somehow. (I guess she’s been talking to Tiger and taking lessons).
She’s never done that before with her tee or tank top on so that was very odd.
It must’ve really been bothering her. Luckily I don’t use glue so even though she pulled it off her skin was red, (but if there had been glue used as the vets do, It really would’ve been bad news).
I tested her with the Contour Next meter and she was high pink, no problem with giving insulin and then we installed the new Libre.
Thank goodness I don’t go to the vet to have this done and I keep them in the house so I’m ready to go at the moment’s notice.
She’s high in pinks right now and hoping she will come down and see what today brings.
Hope things get better as the day goes on. Yesterday was insane around here with the Painters still here. We then realized we had a leak in the basement and carpeting got wet so we’re dealing with that. When it rains it pours.
Oh, and we need a new furnace, so that’s being installed on Tuesday. Plus I have a contractor coming tomorrow to do some work in my pantry, doing some reconfiguration there.
If Ivy is “off”, I certainly understand… because my head is about to pop off with all the craziness going on.
Hope you all have a much calmer day than I have been having the past week
