2/9 Tiger amps Hi, +2 366, +3 278 Pmps 264

Hi Deb, how’s Tiger today? He’s seeing some nice blues mid day. Hope he stays stable for you. How’s the strap doing with the Libre?
Wishing you a peaceful day and a very boring night :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Staci, he’s having better numbers and ate pretty good but he seems to have the blahs…sleeping a lot. Might still be the effect of the weeks beginning. The strap will work I think once we have the libre in a better spot away from the leg movement.
hope Ivy is doing good today and you have a quiet evening!

Give him chin scritches from me please. I understand about the strap. Good plan, Deb. It’s all a learning curve.
I hope you have a calm evening as well :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Something is bothering him, just picks at his food. He’s just not feeling great but he did gobble down some freeze dried chicken.

he just threw up what little he ate. I think I will skip dose tonight?….

Not enough food, not enough insulin, plus possible infection/inflammation (causing him to feel bad) are part of the recipe for DKA. If you skip, please test for ketones when you can. Note, cats undergoing anaesthesia who cannot eat, can get a half dose. Insulin does more than combat the carbs from his meal. It's also brain food!

I gave the shot an hour late……gave another half of cerenia and he ate a few kibble. Hope it goes well tonight.

Ended up taking him to ER as he started crying at 10pm. They found no soreness or sensitive areas. Did another ultrasound also. They ended up attributing it to nausea and gave him an IV of zofran. He seemed to feel a bit more relaxed and ate some kibble after we got home but refused any wet food. His numbers have been high all night. But I guess that’s not unexpected with sickness and the stress.

Oh, poor sweet baby. I hope today is better for him and you.

Good to hear the ultrasound didn’t show anything troubling.

Sending prayers for Tiger’s healing.
You are giving such wonderful care to your sweet boy. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
