I cleaned her ears yesterday, she was scratching a lot and was starting to bleed on the right side. I hope it helps. She's been licking herself more the last 2 days, I hope it's not because I am stopping the gabapentin. If she looks stressed maybe I can increase the cbd oil she has, I give her one drop twice a day now.

Hi Cecile :)
How do you clean Bella's ears. I was thinking about cleaning both my boys' ears too. Especially Fistuk seems to have some wax-like stuff. Do you know why would that be?
I too give Fistuk CBD a drop twice a day. I can't tell anymore what0s the benefit but from the reading I've been doing it looks like the benefits show in the long run.
Hope you're having a good Sunday :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I use a liquid I buy at my vet's clinic, or in a pet store. I use cotton balls, wet with the liquid, and I put one in her ear and massage the bas of the ear at the same time to moisten the inside. Then I wipe with clean cotton balls, I try to go as deep as I can. I always find black gunk in there, sometimes more than others. She lets me do it, she does not like it but I think it really helps her and she knows it. She does not like being wet, so I dry her as much as I can with a towel. I found this video that shows what i do:
Except I don't put drops in her ears directly anymore, because she really does not like that, so I use a wet ball. I would do it only if she had very dirty ears.
I think t's normal, it's earwax. If they have ear mites it will get inflamed and it's better to see a vet, of course. She had treatment once and we never found mites again since that.

Thanks that’s very useful. I’ll try that. I know that for people ear wax related digestion. When we eat things that our digestion can’t deal with we get ear wax. Since I’ve eliminated sugars and any type of wheat I do t have ear wax and it cones back immediately if o eat one of those things

Wow, Cecile, look at Bella’s beautiful cycle! I hope she’s feeling better after the ear cleaning and has less itching. You’re a great cat Mom!
Safe surfing, Bella. Have a wonderful evening. :bighug::bighug:
