Busy morning! First class in the can - love a first day where it's just introductions and syllabi.

Kit had a lovely AMPS, dropped a little lower than I was comfortable with by +2, especially since I teach at +2.5 - so I fed her some 15% at +2, and left some 7% out for her with the plan that I would be home by +4ish. I'm hoping the 15% doesn't mess with her cycle too much, but I feel better about having done it since she's only up to 82 by +4.

I currently debating between working from home for the rest of the day and canceling my student workers, or going in. It's currently raining, although it's supposed to turn to snow, and I'm a bit concerned about ice. The students who actually made it to class today said campus was pretty slick, and at least one fell on their way in (not great). So I'll work from home til noonish (+6) and decide if I'm going in for the afternoon or not, I guess.

I hope everyone has a good Tuesday, and the kitties all stay shenanigan free (unless it's non bg related shenanigans, because then shenanigan it up, my kitty friends!)

Hi Alicia,
I think that feeding 15% at +2 was the right call! Better be safe, and it didn't blow up on your face.
Also good call to stay in. The slick roads are the scariest. If you can get things done from home, why not.
Kit cat is really doing well - looks like she's back to the pre-UTI patterns.
Stay safe and warm, and enjoy the day! :bighug:

I just wish I could know for sure if the roads are going to get icier or not - they actually did a pretty good job of keeping the ones I need to drive on pretty clear. It's just that temperature drop that will come with the snow. WHY IS THERE RAIN IN WISCONSIN IN JANUARY?!?! I mean, I know why, it's just frustrating.
I'm so glad to see her back to better numbers. Although now I have to get used to seeing them and knowing she can coast without me hovering.
Afternoon Alicia, nice cycle so far, I vote stay home :cat:
By the way you in your U cell for today you have 2.24 , I'm very anal :p
Surf safely Kit :bighug::bighug::cat:
That's what I get for typing them in on my phone while waiting for class to start! :joyful:

Hi Alicia. Good job feeding 15% this morning. I need to learn from you.
I hope you did get to work from home to watch Miss Kit cat. I don’t like those slick roads. Scary driving.
Be safe in this weather. We need you in one piece for your baby girl. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

This morning was mostly being super cautious because I didn't know how much lower she wanted to go. Tonight's 15% was definitely because she decided to dive down to those limes. Eesh.
I did get to stay home - my student staff are honestly pretty good at picking up some of the slack because there's so much else happening. We're supposed to get some more icy rain overnight, but then it's supposed to turn to all rain by late morning. Which is great, because I have a meeting in the morning, I'll come home and check on Kit, then go back for a meeting, then shop hours, then a meeting that will keep me out until 15 minutes before PMPS (I only live 10 minutes away from work, so it'll work out). She may end up getting more high carb in the morning just to make me feel safer about being gone so much.

Also, she's hit 40s on this dose three times, but thus far I haven't had to work too hard to get her back to safer numbers, so I'm gonna stick with the dose for now. I do have a tech week coming up the week after next, so I'll possibly need to make a temporary reduction for that. But it's also tech for a dance concert, and that's so much easier and shorter each night than a theatrical production. *insert vague shrug*

Sounds like a good plan!
