Bumped his dose up a couple of days ago; hoping for some green soon but if not we'll bump him up again.

He's still losing weight a bit, and I'm not thrilled about that. I'm hoping it's because he's still recovering from the dental/Clavamox. Told the vet that if he's still dropping in a week or so I'm bringing him back in. Maybe there's something else going on?

Puck's labs are back and everything looks great overall. Protein in the urine (+2), but the UPC ratio was fine. So we'll get his dental done soon. Still waiting for Ariel's results, but I think the extra thyroid stuff takes longer.
 
Has Oberon's B12 level ever been tested? There is a GI panel that tests it and a couple other things, like folate. He showing any GI signs? (diarrhea, vomits?). If B12 level is low, food absorption can be off. A test to consider if he's not stopped the drop soon. Vet may also talk about an ultrasound.

Is he still on the Clavamox? Mouth inflammation should be settling down now.

Clavamox ended on Friday. Still some aftereffects (soft poop), but I think it's not as bad as last week. The vet gave us some probiotics (Entero powder) but he didn't seem to like it so I haven't given much. Couple of half doses.

He pukes occasionally; usually hairballs. I don't think he's ever had a GI panel done, so that's something to consider. The vet also mentioned an ultrasound as an option.

If you look at his weight trends (Weight tab in his SS), he was stable for a long time, then gradual decline starting this summer, then a steeper decline starting about three weeks ago. The dental cleaning/extractions was in the middle of that. (The low points in 2019 and 2020 were his initial FD Dx and when he came out of remission; I sort of use those as my reference points for definitely unhealthy weight for him.) I'm hoping the steeper decline was just his teeth getting worse.
 
Glad to hear the vet has a good plan in mind. I don't like that faster weight loss either. I must confess that since my last 3 cats all had GI issues, (IBD and/or SCL), that's what leaps to mind first for me. They shouldn't be puking more than a few times a year. I keep a "vomit log". Date and description, timing related to meals, recent food change if any.

For soft poop, S. boullardi is a good option. Or RenewLife Critical Care probiotics.

I'm wondering if there's a GI thing going on. Pancreatitis might also be a possibility, but the Precision PSL test was normal?

The stuff the vet gave us is Bacillus coagulans + S. salivarius. Good enough?
 
OK... starting to track food intake more closely. He ate at least ¾ of a can this evening, spaced out over about 4 hours. Alternated between just regular pate and pate "soup," which seems to be easier for him but he's eating both. Target is probably 2-2.5 cans per day, so starting tomorrow we can see if he's eating that much.

He was also licking his lips a bit earlier while he was resting (not eating). I wondered about nausea but it occurred to me his mouth could still feel funny.
