Yeah, the drop was big. No food after +8 - I had meant to pick up her food before I feel asleep at +5, but fell asleep faster than I thought (and either didn't properly set my alarm for +6, or slept through it). But there wasn't much in the bowl after I checked it at +4. I'm trying to not have food out past +4 or +5 (minus freeze dried treats when I test), but she's so slow at eating that I worry about her getting enough food. Although she could probably stand to lose a bit, so maybe it's okay? She had a substantial drop at onset yesterday and also went lower than she's been in awhile.
Did you feed after the test at +8 last night? How's the UTI? How's the 5Ps? My Cleo looks at me like I'm crazy when I'm disappointed by a BG reading. If she could talk I'm sure she'd say, "lady you're ruining my snack time."![]()
Hopefully just a bounce. It's just frustrating because there's all the different things at play, and I just want something that isn't complicated to happen so I can be less worried about going to a conference later this spring and having to leave the bf in charge of making sure it all gets done.Ouch.
I know the feeling, of course.
She was doing so well, showing nice normal range for hours at the time.
Acute bounce from those? Maybe a transient thing, so wait and see (this is the only thing we can do)
Maybe because you were talking about dental yesterday?
Hope this is a little blip, and she comes down and stays down.

She came down nicely to blue today, Alicia. I know it’s not green. Maybe a bounce?

Fingers crossed!Maybe just a little blip like Kit said, nice +4 already.![]()
She weirdly hit green, which I didn't anticipate (also didn't anticipate the nap, but whaddya do).She came down nicely to blue today, Alicia. I know it’s not green. Maybe a bounce?
Glad she seems like she’s feeling well otherwise. Pretty girl. Hope you’re having a nice, warm Caturday with the sweet girl![]()
Yeah, I'm gonna think on it a bit more. She has an appointment on Tuesday, so I'll probably make a decision by then. It's such a delicate balance. Not sure what I would do in your shoes.
Oh poor sweet girl. I hope she feels better soon, Alicia. It’s good you’re seeing the vet. Maybe they will have some ideas. You are so observant of everything.I'm definitely starting to worry about her. She always picks a spot and basically chills out there for however long until she decides she's moving to her next spot. She's been in her carrier a lot, which isn't unusual because that's one of the places she cycles through. But she has barely been out today, and it was a struggle to get her to eat for her shot. I had to break out some fish pate, which she hasn't really wanted for ages. I have a text into her vet, but definitely concerned. She's just not seeming like herself a lot today.![]()
