Morning everyone.

I guess Tiger decided mom needed some sleep. One little drop, otherwise all pink and red last night.
Would this be a bounce from the night before or the new libre settling in? We were probably due for a bounce after the lower numbers this week. I was just getting used to all that yellow and a little blue, darn it.
Hi Deb. If I had to guess I think a bounce to that blue 2 nights ago. His body isn’t used to lower numbers yet.
In my own experience I don’t really see wonky numbers with a new Libre.
(I’ve actually started replacing them on day 13, a day before they are due to expire, just to avoid any weirdness that can happen the last day. I may be a bit overly cautious, but it helps my sanity).
But others may disagree about the Libre. I’ve had only a very few where I thought it seemed very off, so I double checked with an ear prick. Then I replaced the Libre.
I do recommend if you want to use the Libre ongoing, at some point think about learning how to replace them yourself.
Much less expensive and less stress for Tiger than going to the vet. And if (and when) a Libre fails at a weird time when the vet isn’t open (midnight….I’ve done that several times sadly) I just get to work. It sucks, but I am prepared at all times with several spares in the house.
Anyhoo, are you feeding higher carb food at your preshot meals? If so maybe that’s causing the higher BGs.
Let’s see what others may have to say about what you are feeding and your curves.
I hope this all helps you a bit. You’re doing great. Keep posting and asking questions. :bighug::bighug:

Thanks Staci. I hadn’t seen anything wonky with new libre either so I figured it was bounce.
We have, so far, replaced the libre before day 14. One fell off, one went bad, holidays etc. the vet tech has been doing it free of charge but did start charging at yesterdays visit. We will have to learn. We do always keep a spare too!

I have been giving him 12% preshot and for the last week been trying to keep the same regimen. I felt I was changing too many thing at once and it wasn’t good for his tummy troubles. Also making sure he eats a bit at +1, +2. We’ll get there eventually!

Have a great day!

You’re doing great!! I know it’s a lot to learn and the learning curve is steep.
Have a restful night! Safe surfing to Tiger :bighug::bighug:

You've only see a couple numbers under 150 on this dose, I think you could increase tomorrow. Hopefully that'll bring more blues into the picture.

Ty Wendy. I wasn’t sure if I should increase or hold it a bit, so thx for confirming! Have a great evening!
