I don’t know how everyone does this. With being fairly new and changing his dose and changing around his food, both hubby and I were concerned with how it is going to affect his numbers. Worried we would be asleep if he dived low we took turns last night being awake. I took over at 3am. His numbers were low for him but at turnover of the shift, hubby told me he hadn’t responded to automatic feeder for his kibble yet. Totally out of character for Tiger. I stayed awake until +10 (6am) and he still hadn’t eaten it. Never thought to pull it up as it could affect his amps. Of course he ate it after that. To make matters worse, I got up and fed him completely forgetting to take a reading. I remembered after he ate about a spoonful of 0 carb food. So, I snatched him up and took a reading. I know he was ok to shoot as the libre shows it went way up at 7am (295 up to 439 in that hour) and I can assume that’s when he ate the kibble. I felt terrible once I was awake enough to realize the mistakes I made. Still a bit groggy writing this, so I hope it makes sense, lol.
I will monitor him closely today . I don’t know how everyone goes without sleep and is able to manage making decisions while half asleep. No one told me about the guilt old groggy parents feel!! I’m too old for this, lol.
Happy New Years everyone.
