Is it alright to pre-load and store Pumpkins dosages in the fridge in advance? Or is it better to draw every time?

On a side note, his Vet and I are also working very closely to get him regulated. He was having some rather low plummets recently, where I refrained from dosing for a few days. I am in very close communication with the doc, so we are slowly working our way back. I don't know why it started dipping at that point in time. Other than, for whatever reason, Pumpkin was not eating as much. But there seems to be stability in his diet now.

I'm going to tag a few members that gave you advice before to look at your SS
@Shell
Can you please fill in your SS for 12-18 and 12-19
Looking at your SS some times you are not testing AMPS or PMPS and not filling in the dose you gave
You really aren't following what SLGS says by looking at your SS
On 12-10 you gave 0.5 units
Then in 12-11 you gave 1 unit
We adjust the doses by 0.25 units at a time when needed
You gave been changing the doses too often
Maybe re read the dosing method again SLGS

Is Pumpkin still eating this , I saw this from one of your past posts
Are you feeding any low carb wet at all

We don't recommend pre-loading syringes
More importantly, the manufacturers of both the insulin and at least one of the syringe vendors do not recommend pre-loading. See page 3 of this document: Pre-filling Syringes with Lantus is NOT recommended.

If you decide to skip a dose, for whatever reason, could you put either "skip" or "ns" for no shot, in the units cell. That way we know it was a deliberate no dose, instead of just forgetting to enter the data.

Yes, that is his food. I filled out the rest of the missing numbers as best as possible. Several weeks ago, I noticed that I was filling it in, but the dates were behind. Hence, it appears as if 12-18 and 12-19 were missing. But, it is actually up to date. I tried to copy and paste the date column to correct it, but it changed formatting and was unreadable. So I just put it back. Is there a simple way for me to correct it, so it shows the right dates?

Definitely don’t store in syringes, most insulins have an in use period of about 4 hrs in a syringe. M-cresol (the smelly ingredient) absorbs to plastic and after 24 hrs will be significantly less if measured. M-cresol is added as a preservative and is also a stabilizer so will likely also start to see a drop in potency of insulin as well as risk for losing sterility.

Nothing wrong with pre-loading if you use food coloring to show a sitter what the dose is. Otherwise the rubber seal can get degraded over time.

@Shell Sorry, it's just come to my attention that both the Lantus manufacturer and one of the major syringe vendors (BD) say it's not recommended to preload syringes with Lantus/glargine". Hope that hasn't caused you any problems.

Don't thank me, I was corrected by one of the board members. I've seen much worse advice given here over the years so at least it wasn't a total disaster.
