? 12/19 Bailie amps 71 +10 509

They did an in-house one and didn’t give me it no ,they called and told me the results . They did a comprehensive in-house.

The black could be the high before the bounce clears. It’s already coming down a little. Do you do ketone checks? While we all hate to see high bg but if it is the result of a lower than usual bg which this is and no ketones it’s not a worry.

Yes I check ketones everyday. And thanks for making me feel better .

I have a question for you if Bailie is really low tomorrow what should I do ? Hold off on the food for 20 mins and check again and if he is going up give the 2.75 ?

Are you following SLGS? If so a reduction was earned by falling under 90. The dose will be 2.5. It was fine to shoot through the bounce but reduce in the morning. Als with SLGS you don’t shoot a lower than 90 bg. So stall and see if going up and over 90.

so you mean to say he doesn’t get 2.75 anymore ,he went from 3 to 2.75 now he goes down to 2.50 tomorrow morning? Is that correct?

Thanks @Christie & Maverick for the heads up. @Nancyco* I've combined your three threads of the day into one. We ask that you stick to just one thread for each day that you post. Otherwise you get conversation on multiple threads and it's harder to follow. If you have new updates/questions/concerns as the day goes on, just edit the subject line with the new information/question. To do that, go up to your first post of the day, and there is a Thread Tools drop down that allows you to change the prefix and text of the subject line. Thank you.

I agree with Elise, his new dose is 2.5 units as per SLGS.

Last night he got 3 and then this morning because he was 4.4 he was reduced to 2.75 so u are saying he should be reduced further tomorrow morning to 2.50 ? I don’t get it he was already reduced . I’m not being mean I just don’t get why he would be reduced again when he was already reduced this morning.

So tomorrow he starts a new dose of 2.50 ?He just had a dose reduction this morning.

The SLGS guidelines say to reduce immediately when they go under 90, which he did today when you shot 2.75 units.

No worries about the combining threads, it's just easier for us helping to work with one thread per day.

Good question :) I can see why that might be confusing. The reduction to 2.75u was due to the later nadir from last night, which was around this morning’s shot time. Then as the am cycle progressed on the reduced 2.75u you saw 61 at +6 so because he dropped agin this new cycle under 90 you would reduce again, following SLGS by 0.25u to for this evening, regardless if whether you just took a reduction. Does this make sense?

But I gave him 2.75 for lasts night dose Dec 19 .i didn’t know it had to be reduced again so do I go ahead and still give the 2.50 this morning ? I just tested him at +9 after pm dose and he’s 19.3

Yes. Every drop below 90 is a reduction. He is just bouncing from the lows. His dose will be 2.5U.

I’m terrified he will be high all day again what if I hadn’t had tested that time and didn’t know he dropped again .I’m sorry I’m not trying to be difficult . Also yesterday I dropped the Lantus bottle in,the fridge day about 2 feet ,you think that will be ok ?
