12/18 Big Boy AMPS 106, +8 76 (libre), +9.5 106

I did not feed him at +2. Should I feed him a bit now? I was planning on giving him some food before I head to work at +3.5. He usually doesn't eat his breakfast in one go, so I feed him the rest of his breakfast around +1. What's an active cycle?
An active cycle is described Here Basically, is a steady decrease in BGs from onset to nadir (the lowest point of the cycle) then BGs will climb back up again as the insulin starts to wear off.
What we suggest is that you help the kitty surf in healing green numbers by feeding a tsp or two of the regular LC food to keep the green surf going as long as possible through nadir.
I'd give Big Boy a small tsp of his regular LC and test again at +3.25 to see where he is right before you head out the door :)

Thank you. He's still at 82 @ +3.25. Heading out now. My husband will be home. He's not able to test him, but will feed few teaspoons of LC at +4 and +5.

MPS 106, +2 82, +3.25 82, +4 61 (libre), +5 54 (libre), +6 63 (libre) +7 103 (libre), +8 76, +9.5 106 (manual). Husband was home alone with Big Boy this afternoon and the Libre low glucose alarm kept going off ranging from 54 to 60. He feed Big Boy some high carb food, but numbers kept dropping. I got a bit nervous and we ended up feeding him 10 pieces of dry food. It didn't seem like the high carb wet food was having an impact, and he eventually declined to eat any more wet food. My experience with this libre sensor is that it's consistently reading higher than manual testing. When libre was reading 54 I assumed manual testing would be in the 50 or lower range. Is it a bad idea to feed him a few pieces of dry food in this situation?

Without being able to check the libre values with a handheld meter, it was reasonable to feed. What % carb was the food fed during the libre alarm values? It is helpful to keep track of what you fed (carb %) and when for future reference.

Big Boy had a great healing greens cycle today :cat:

The high carb wet food was 20% and the dry food based 38%. I will start adding this information to the notes.
