Good luck with the vet visit, hope the shot goes well and we figure out the peeing. :bighug:

Thinking of Kit today! :cat:
Hope all goes well with the vet today and Kit has a safe surf day! :bighug::bighug:
Thanks! Luckily, today is just a shot day, so I didn't have to use extra gabapentin to keep her calmer. We had to switch to pilling for that because of a change to the how they make the liquid, and from what I remember, that was also not a fun time. But that's a problem for future Alicia :joyful:

Sending PAWsitive vibes and thoughts your way. Good luck with everything today.

The vet is going to do some research into something we can add to the mix of gabapentin and Solensia to help ease Kit's discomfort. You can tell by how she walks that she has some discomfort/pain that isn't being managed. She is contemplating an anti-inflammatory med, but those can also have repercussions on the kidneys, which we want to not cause problems to since she seems pretty stable in her current level of kidney disease. But she said her coat seems really great, she's not losing too much weight (although she could stand to lose a little), and otherwise seems in good shape for her age. At her appointment next month, since she'll be on a higher level of gabapentin for the claw trim portion, we'll also look at her teeth to see if we need to try to get in a dental. She had one last year, but was so much slower to recover from the anesthesia than usual that we're being more cautious, especially since she sees a different vet for the dental cleaning.

Hi Alicia, what a nice cycle Kit had today, I hope the Solensia helps , I feel so bad for her that she has some discomfort/pain when she walks , that isn't being managed. ♥ Please give her kisses for me . :bighug::bighug::bighug::cat:
She's been on the solensia since July, I think? I think it helps some, but she just needs a bit more of something, unfortunately. Poor little ol' lady kitten.

She will disapprove of the kisses, but since I love to give them, it shall be done! :joyful:

Well that was quite the drop at +3. I was sort of hoping she was doing a bit of a bounce tonight so I could maybe get to sleep a bit earlier (it sounds terrible, but it is what it is), but that's what I get for thinking. Maybe she'll just sort of coast from here (she said hopefully).
