Well, safe to say Fred’s getting a reduction now!!

gave him a spoonful of MC to get his numbers up a bit is that fine?

rechecking in 10 minutes

update:
41 @ 8:19 gave another spoonful and a half of MC
84 @ 8:38 think I over shot a bit with the food..
Should have used an ACTUAL teaspoon what was I thinking

Checking again in 20…
132 @ +11 (9:00) (let’s just say this was a lesson learned not to over do it lol)

Make sure to watch Fred over the next several hours as the hc carbs wear off to make sure he doesn’t go too low! :bighug::bighug:

What’s the difference between HC And MC carb wise? I’ll have to pick some up and try it :D
Generally LC is under 10%, MC 11-15% and HC above that. Here's where FD becomes fun . Some cats are very carb sensitive meaning, for example that MC 12% will shoot the BG up in 20 minutes. Sometimes more/less carbs are needed. The fun  is experimenting to determine how carb sensitive your cat is.
I don't want to overwhelm you with info, but what you feed is just as important (in my opinion) as WHEN you feed it. Getting a lime at +2 or +3, I would go straight to HC whereas a lime at +9 or +10 I might use higher end of LC/ low end of MC. Does that make sense?

Congrats on another reduction. Looking good sweet Fred :cat::bighug::cat::bighug:

Oh, so in that case he did get MC! Guess I’ll be picking him up some HC to keep around instead. & remember to use an actual teaspoon to measure it out next time :joyful:

And absolutely! Makes total sense I’ll definitely add that to my notes. Thanks a bunch! :bighug:

Congrats on the reduction :cat:

Good idea to mark the cans with magic marker how many carbs

Or any on the food chart. Doesn't have to be Fancy Feast just an example about the med and high carb foods

10% and under is low carb
11% -15 is medium carbs.

16- 24 is high carb.
