Good morning :coffee:
Happy Caturday to all.
We’ve had mostly yellow and some blues lately.
I fed1/4 tsp of 9.25% mixed in her 6% meal last night and in 6% snacks at +1,2,3 to make sure she didn’t snorkel dive while I was out last night. She stayed in yellow range while I was out, so that was good.

She did hit some pinks around +8 &+9 early this am. (A brief middle of the night trampoline jump).
So far pink and yellow start to this morning. Let’s see if we can do blue and green already.

Going out to dinner again tonight and will give same 9.25 % mixed in with 6% to make sure she stays steady for the early evening so I don’t have a heart attack. :rolleyes:

Thanks, Alli. I sit with the Libre app open the entire time I’m out to watch her. I’m a nervous wreck when I go out. (And my son is home to intervene if needed ). But unfortunately he sacrifices his evenings so we can get out a little. It’s a real team effort. So lucky he’s here to help, even though Ivy is so mean to him :(

She fluctuating so much less on this dose this time. That's good news.

Good morning, Shelly, yes it was nice to be out. We only go places within a 20-30 min radius (I’m a stickler for being close to home).
It helps to watch her numbers on the app, so I know how long I have to get home if she really starts to drop very low. I have been known to cut dinner short and leave immediately).

It also helps to have my son at home who will help keep her stable until I can get home! While he can’t test or give shots, he can put food in a bowl in front of her!

Thanks for your nice wishes. It will be nice to get out to see some friends again tonight. Helps to have a few laughs and a nice meal (prepared by someone other than me!)

Glad to see Ivy putting up better numbers, and we need to have lives too. A night or two a little higher than we want them is ok. We can't be our best for them when we are all work and no play!

Hi Kit, thanks. It was fun to catch up with a friend who is having their own drama. Good to focus on something else for a few hours.

Our friend, who is a diabetic, I spent a good deal of time grilling him to ask what the insulin feels like when it onsets, etc.
What does a very low bg number feel like.
I can’t ask Ivy, so I asked him!

The little girl is already dropping at +3, so let’s see what she has planned. Maybe she will meet Mikan at the beach today?

Hi Diane, you are so right. It’s helpful to know she’s safe.
And Ivy is a little bear when it comes to her brother. She’s never forgiven him for leaving for college. (Even though he returned for breaks over the years) and now lives here again!! She holds a grudge. o_O
I do plan to have a drink! (Had one last night too) :p

Hi Deb, I agree. I’m finally learning after all this time it’s ok to have her a little higher so I can get a tiny break in a week and try to be a bit less intensely stressed. I drive my DH nuts with my worry.

I hope Ivy behaves today and doesn't give you a scare. Surf safely sweet girl and NO extreme sports today. Time to relax on the beach with your friends.

Ivy seems to want to meet up with her friends at the beach today. At +4 and +5, now, she is in the lo range on her libre and I did an ear prick, got a 117 on the contour meter.
Feeding some yummy 9.25 and 12,5% snacks to try to surf.

So, she’s definitely wanting to join the kitties at the beach today and is working her way there.

It was nice last night to get out and hopefully she will be stable tonight so I can keep my plans. But, we’ll see what Miss Ivy has in store for me.
Hope you guys are having a great day at the beach, being safe. No deep diving!! Enjoy your Saturday Caturday.

It’s been a nice 6 hours in lower numbers for Ivy today. It got a little lower from +5 to +7. She saw Lo readings on libre. When I ear pricked the lowest I caught was 110 on handheld meter.
She’s starting to go up a little now, almost + 9.

Well, after a nice stretch in low numbers for Ivy, her PS was an ugly Red. I need to hide the trampoline after a day at the beach.

No flip flops today (well, mostly because I only briefly went out for groceries, and then it was crocs all the way baybee :p). Definitely wearing some cute cat slippers now to go make dinner. I hope she clears her bounce quickly! :bighug:
 
Looks like Ivy had a busy day and looks like it might be a busy night too.
Hopefully you both can get some rest.

Hi Shelly, luckily the low at +6 yesterday in the a.m. cycle did not ruin our plans for the evening.
She bounced up late in the afternoon and into her pre-shot time. I also gave a little bit of higher (low) carb and she coasted in yellows while we were out, so it worked out quite well. WHEW!

She did have a busy day but her night was pretty mellow. I got some sleep so I can hopefully handle whatever she’s got in store today. We never know, right?:bighug::bighug:
