12/3 Smudge: AMPS 91, +2 74, +4 77, +5.5 78, PMPS 88, +3 74

Hi Alli. I totally get the stress. You've worked so hard to get to this point. For sure you don't want to mess things up. But I think you can trust the process and relax for now.

I remember Bhooma saying to me 'we don't know who Fistuk is in a regulated state' and it stayed with me. I took into re-learning him an he has behaved for sure differently. I just wrote a few points on my convo this morning from what I've learnt in observing Fistuk in his new state.

Smudge is still green! And even low blue is still regulated. Trust him and trust yourself. I'm confident Smudge will be ok :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I love this post, Shelly. You are a wise sage. This is such good advice!
Alli, I also believe Smudge is going to be fine. He’s doing so very well and you are on top of every single step!!
Have a wonderful day. You got this :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you Shelly. I went to your post and read your points - your words really resonate with me. I have to remember I am still learning Smudge overall. I don't know who he was before he got injured and ultimately diagnosed. I just knew him as the neighborhood cat everybody loved. He is a whole personality of his own and I do see how active he has become as a regulated cat. When I first brought him home, I didn't think he knew how to play from being outside for however long, and boy was I wrong.

Who thought I'd ever be worried in this way? Not me.

She is so wise, isn't she? :bighug:

Thank you, I try to be on top of it for him! He deserves it. He's brought so much love and energy into my home that I haven't had in so long with my last 2 years of sick kitties and loss. I forgot what it was like to have a young and active boy. :bighug:

Awww. He’s such a love. It’s wonderful to have that young spunky energy, isn’t it?? He was meant for your family and it was such a wonderful thing you did when you took Smudge into your home to care for him :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Awww, nice posts you guys, @Staci & Ivy @Fistuk & Shelly @allicatmeow .
That's what this place is all about. The level of caring support is incredible :):):)
Alli, Smudge will do fine, as he's done in the past several weeks. He might have an occasional bump here and there, but he'll stay in the good range.
I know you care so much that you feel like you need to have a tight grip - You've done a fantastic job bringing and keeping him down!

Have a nice and relaxing Sunday Alli :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you Kit. I really do, by nature, want to predict and plan, which gives that tight grip. I guess that's why I'm a Project Manager, haha.

I have that same trait, Alli. Same problem. It makes this journey all the more difficult.
It really does! I let go of control of so many things in life, but when I'm caring for my animals, I want that full, predictable control and we definitely can't always have that. Especially not with FD and CKD, which I know you know all too well.

Happy Sunday Alli and Smudge!

I second what Shelly says. He's still doing so well and you take great care of him.
Try not to stress too much. Purrrrhaps his body just needs a minute or two to adjust to this new dose. I think he'll do just fine.

Enjoy your Sunday.

I know, me too. I really do try to not stress too Much about the things I can’t control. But when it comes to their health, I get so freaked out because I need to be on top of every little detail with so many factors between the CK and FD it’s truly overwhelming
