ok I can't stop crying I am really upset for this mistake I was afraid I was going to make some day
I will test at 8:00PM so I will contact you again, please with me for a few because it might be a "Sleepless in Miami" for me but I am not going anywhere tomorrow, so its good, should I go to the right dose tomorrow for 6:00AM of 1.25????
So far so good BG 8:00PM 234 will continue checking every hour and follow your advice on LC every hour, although, I really have MC and dry so I'll give small specs according how low and at 11:00PM as last meal I'll give a little extra instead of the FF if it lowers too much? is that ok? you are so patient with me and thorough, thank you from the bottom of my heart :bighug::cat: We love you, Corky and I

So far so good. I would feed him a teaspoon of LC now and test again at +2. We will feed him different levels of carbs based on his numbers. We can move to MC or even HC if his numbers warrant it.

We can probably handle the whole cycle with only using medium carb food, but we will see. What percentage of carbs do you have available?

Purina Cat complete dry and MeauMix soft but with gravy, I can always strain it if it's, their regular is FF shredded fish and Ocean Whitefish with tuna, their favorite
so far so good 9:00PM reading 215 I did gave him about 10 pcs of the Purina about 7:15pm, if he continues like this and not too low, should I start his 6:AM dose at 1.25? or is it too soon to tell I will continue testing by the hour at least till 1:00AM

Is it about half an hour to +3? We may see some movement by +3.
OK! +3=215 +4=227 probably the 10 pcs of HC at 7:15PM. WOW! where do I go from here, I am still going to test every hour as mentioned at least till 1AM of course I would not bothering you at all after this, we'll just hope for the best, just in case there's a sudden drop, at 10:30 I will feed reg FF/fish and hopefully he will stay as is, what do we do at dosing in the morning if he continues this way? stay at the 1.5 or 1.25 or stay on 1.0?? is all I need to know for now till his next dose, we'll communicate again tomorrow. Relief for now!!:blackeye: that's how I feel right about now!:cat:
Please before I log you off can you advise on morning's dose! Thanks

If he has a yellow AMPS, then I would say to give the planned one an a quarter unit (1.25) dose, which is just a tiny amount past the 1 mark. Do you feel comfortable that you know where that is?

And I feel like that adorable Corky is going to be just fine tonight. I am happy that you will get two more tests in for him tonight, though. He should drop somewhat, but it looks like he may be a little stuck tonight?

If he has an upper blue AMPS, say above 150, I would still feel comfortable with you giving him the 1.25 unit dose.
I could not began to thank you enough for all these hours you have spent with me, I am so grateful to you, Thank you, thank you. I'll keep in touch tomorrow, one last request, keep an eye on my baby's spreadsheet if you can. Any weird changes, I'll write you other than that... may you have a good night.God bless you for your dedication.:bighug::cat:

He is having a flat yellow cycle tonight. So, I hope you feel okay about the 1.25 units for tomorrow - how to draw the dose to between lines and not on a line. Between the one unit and the half unit line.

3) Sure Comfort- Insulin Syringes - 1cc (O1ml) 1/2" length - 30g ( have a full box)
Maria, are these u-100 insulin syringes? Please check the box carefully. If they are u-100 (rather than u-40), we need to know in order to correctly tell you where to draw the insulin to. It will require a conversion. I would put these away and use them only after you’ve used all of your u-40 syringes.

Yes, @JL and Chip thank you for looking those up. When I looked them up this morning, I found some with that description which were U-100 syringes. We need to get to the bottom of the syringe thing. Maria, use only insulin syringes that are labeled for use with U-40 insulin— at least for right now. There is a difference between U-40 and U-100 syringes. ProZinc is a U-40 type insulin and is designed to be used with U-40 syringes. It’s possible to use the other (U-100) syringes, but you have to use a conversion chart, so if you aren’t really comfortable yet with drawing different doses, it probably isn’t a good idea to use them right now.

I’m wondering if last night was a fur shot or something? It was just flat yellow and I didn’t expect that with the increased dose. Let’s see where he is this morning, I guess.

Maria, what is your shot time? You’re in Florida, and I am in Georgia so we should be on the same time zone (this makes it easy for me.). —- unless you’re in that part of the panhandle that is in Central time?

It looks like Corky is off to a good start today with the blue number — already going better than last night’s flat yellow.
YES! it was a rough night till 1:00AM but worth it today he's starting to look good, ,it could spiral down quick I'll keep him in check today as well, with frequent testing since right now he's 114. I Thought about you all night long and your dedication to my Corky, you inspire me, I'm the person that when something looks impossible, is when I become determined to change that, I do not give up on my goals, or Corky, it's been a tough ride from the get go, finding this Forum was God sent, if you guys would not have been there, I know I would have lost Corky, I was devastated emotionally and financially, I would not have been able to take him to a Vet, my gratefulness to all the members that have been helping along the way, especially you and this Forum.:bighug::cat:

Wow! just checked, they are U100, I have not used any of them they kinda scare me., if you look at post # 40 I described the type and quantity of the syringes, we will forget the box all together, not to worry about convertion, I am freaked out already when there's a dose change, so now Corky is getting 1.25u if you can send me diagrams on the other 2 type osf syringes it would be great, I keep a file with all these diagrams as the dosing changes

Please start a new thread. We try to cap the length of threads at 50 posts. (See the note at the top of the board about thread lengths.)

I was thinking about the same thing when I saw 70 posts I had not noticed is it ok to name the post "#2 Odd Behavior" or part "2 Odd Behavior? Advise

no not a fur shot I always tend to check the fur it was a good shot, hopefully with the next few 1.25 he will get better

thank you for checking in :cat: I just bought the kiddos the Purely Fancy Feast Natural Treats, they loved them, they are cool

I am in South Fl Miami Eastern time just like Georgia, I loved Georgia when I visited, especially the true Country Western Breakfasts, I personally love the South

I'm glad he's already at a high blue. I would give him only low carb food. I hope he has a great cycle today. It's looking promising so far.

Are you feeling comfortable drawing (and eyeballing) the 1.25 unit dose? You know, I just bought myself one of those head mounted magnifiers that comes with different lenses for different levels of magnification and bright LED lights that illuminate what you are looking at. A lot of people use those to help draw fine doses. Some people like to use digital calipers to get exact doses. I never used them and so don't know how, but a lot of people love them.

Good morning, yes I have been able to draw the 1.25 I do have a small flashlight, plus I wear glasses for close vision, thank you. Suzanne how do I start another thread with the same title? and what should I name it to continue it
Corky is still on some yellow numbers, but he wakes up better than with the .75 dose is in the 200 now before it was in the high 300's
