Should I / could I look at increasing on TR? I’m so confused on the spacing between the reducing at numbers lower than 40/50 but holding the dose for 10 days (which I’ve done) when they’re under 100. What numbers am I looking for?

We’ve seen some lovely greens but we’re also getting reds every now and then.

Have a good day everyone :bighug::bighug:

He dropped to 58 on this dose. You want to give him 6 cycles to clear any bounce from that 58. Today is cycle 5. Let's see what he does today. Some cats go high before they clear a bounce.

With TR you hold the doses once you start seeing nadirs in the range you want them to be in. The bouncing will reduce with time.

Thanks so much I really appreciate you giving me some direction! :)

Yet another example of a cat reacting to the threat of an increase!

Were you able to check that 41 (2.3) last night with a ear poke? The Libre can read much lower at lower/normal numbers.

Ha ha it’s true! Yes that reading was from an ear poke on a human meter and I also got to test with my pet meter which read 3.7. Looks like I might be doing the opposite and reducing then? Last time I went down to 3.5 it failed but I’m happy to try again.

Thanks for watching out for Tigster. :bighug::bighug:

Yes, a drop below 50 (2.8) on a human meter or 68 (3.8) on a pet meter earns him reduction. Congrats! :-)

A cat's insulin needs can change so it's possible that this time he hold the reduction to 3.5U. Did he get food between PMPS and +4 last night? Numbers can keep dropping without food.

Yea he had food at +1.25, +2.25, +3.75, +5.75. Just LC food but that’s his normal routine.

Fingers crossed he does hold this time. I’ve got an appointment with a new vet on Friday and I’d like to go in there showing that I have good control :nailbiting:
