I think I'm gonna drop him to a drop dose tonight based on yesterday night's 70s.

I don't know my eyeballs can do 0.1 u.

Gotta go look at the picture again to remember what a drop dose looks like

They didn't take his glucose or test for ketones. I guess the diabetic cat owner tech wasn't in. He's the only one of the bunch who seems to have any idea what I'm talking about but it's clear he would benefit from this group too. Insert the grimace emoji

I gave him a dose with a smidge of space between the plunger and the 0.
What's more important is consistency. Also watch for zero errors in syringes. When you first use a syringe, push the plunger all the way in to see if it lines up with the printed zero line. A lot of syringes have their markings way off and that affects the accuracy of the dose. Especially with smaller doses every little bit matters.

Good thing I took a picture!

But I think we'll probably go down to an even tinier dose since his +3 is 67. He's eating now. Glad I only have to stay up until 11 to get to the +5 but also having to get up at 6 to do his shot. Aaaah

@Diane Tyler's Mom
That's what I tried for. I find the green line makes it harder for me to judge where the plunger is in relation to the zero line but I aimed for some space but less space than halfway.

He's back up to 85. So that's 1 under 80 to go to the drop, which is even more fun to try to dose

What you are explaining looks fine for the 0.1

Drop dose just in case you need it

Push the plunger all the way in and insert into your vial or pen. Once inserted release the plunger and a drop will be in the syringe When you inject hold the plunger in and try to keep it in for about 10 seconds.
