I never would have imagined that Zyler would let me test his sugars, let alone come running to me for it (probably because he knows he gets a fed right after). Can you get a test in tonight? Maybe clearing a bounce and a +2ish would let you know.

I'm sure that it feels odd at first. He's been used to higher numbers for awhile and became accustomed to them being the "norm". With time he'll get used to those normal range BGs. I've read it being described as caffeine withdrawal.

Did you feed a little tsp or two of LC after the +2 test?

Yes just a bit of food to slow a big drop at onset. A big drop is one of the causes of a bounce. We want them to surf in good numbers.
Also we try to NOT feed after nadir because that can shorten the insulin duration.

Ok thanks for explaining, so if I test at +4 and numbers are still flat I can give his ears a break for the night?

He reminds me of the sour patch kids commercial, sour then sweet. He got mad at his pup sister cause he didn’t want to share my lap so now he’s sitting on the arm of the couch falling asleep but not wanting to lay down.
 
I guess he was actually sweet then sour
