Good morning to all of you cool cats :cool:

So I probably made a hasty decision this morning that may or may not have been the best, but I have a big day at work today and wouldn't be able to check on my wee prince. I thought it was for the best that I didn't worry myself to death about him....

He didn't eat much dinner last night, and when I spread out the towel I put down when I syringe feed him, he immediately went and hid under the bed. To me, I felt he was really telling me that he just couldn't do it. His belly, like I said, looks even more distended. :( My poor boy. I so hope we get this resolved for him soon; not sure how long it will take after the ultrasound, depending on what it is.

That being said, he did poop again this morning, but it was still sticky/soft. He seemed to be a little perked up, but I wasn't confident he was going to eat enough. I just gave him 1U due to that, which I know I probably shouldn't have done, but hopefully it won't set him back too badly. :confused:

Tough situation and you made a solid decision.
It's hard enough to look after the one with appetite coming and going, but having to balance with the work demands is, absolutely and indisputably, NUTS.
His BGs are looking great! US this week will give you the direction to help Prince Cooper!

Thank you, Kit! It really is so hard. I told my husband I need to be a stay at home mom to keep up with all of our animals. :p He said (jokingly) "In this economy?!" LOL
 
Hi Gabrielle, such hard decisions when you can’t be home to monitor. Your royal Prince is looking great with his numbers.
I hope he eats well and surfs safely today.
Hoping you get some answers with his ultrasound.

I am really happy that his numbers are at least doing well. One ailment down, one more to go--hopefully lol! Thank you, and I hope you have an amazing Monday!! :D

Thank you, I am really hoping I get more than "yep, there's a mass there" LOL. We will see. I hope you have a great day as well!
 
Oh Gabrielle. This sounds stressful. If he's feeling unwell or perhaps has problems with the pancreas or some inflammation in the body it'll make sense he wouldn't want to eat. I'm happy to hear you'll have an ultrasound soon.
I see so many similarities with Fustuk's process and I know that now you're feeling the weight of all the pieces you need to hold together AND I have faith that Cooper will turn a corner and find a good way for healing and strength.

You're doing an amazing job and whatever slack you need to cut yourself you deserve it. Sending warm hugs:bighug::bighug::bighug:

I love your positive outlook. It is so nice to know Fistuk had similar issues and is now doing so wonderfully! It gives my hope for my little Coops. He's just the sweetest little guy, he deserves to feel better. Hopefully this ultrasound will give me clarity on next steps to achieving that goal. Prince Cooper and I accept your kind words of support with great gratitude!
