Hello friends,
Our cat's diabets has been in remission for over 7 years - thanx to you!
He's been having some health issues recently, but his glucose and fructose levels are in check.
We're still waiting for an ultrasound to see what's going on in his abdomen (sudden onset of food intolerances provoking diarhea, loss of weight due to wanting to eat certain foods only that have a strong smell).

In the meantime he got hit by an episode of arthritis AND since this morning a swollen leg with a small "incision". The vet put him on an antibiotic and gave them an injection of an anti-inflammatory drug, that truned him around. However, since it's Saturday, the vet on duty is not our usual, experienced vet, and she was simply buffled by this problem with his paw.
I'm thinking possible botfly infection. He's been in the countryside last weekend.

I wish I could upload a photo. His leg is swollen and painfull and there's a "wound" on one side. He's been licking it so his skin is fur-free and the "incision" and old blood (crust) is visible.

Am I panciking for no reason.
I'm thinking about taking him to the clinique on duty tomorrow, even though they are not my favorites.

Thank you in advance for your help!

@MaSha can you copy and paste the pic of his leg?
@Wendy&Neko

@Suzanne & Darcy
@Sienne and Gabby (GA)

Pictures can be uploaded by either doing a copy paste of the image, or if on your computer you can drag and drop it into the text area. Any larvae visible?

Thank you for your replaies.
No I cannot see larvae.
Jusr a swollen leg and an area with blood and crust that he's beel licking.
I cannot even touch the leg since he's in si much pain.
Btw he's body temperature is fine - confirmed by the vet.
