11/04 Eddie AMPS 250 +6 340 PMPS 241 +8.5 293

What were his previous test results?

The IGF-1 result just tells you what you knew already, Eddie is positive for acromegaly. The folks at Colorado State University told me not to retest the IGF-1 because it can change (upwards) after SRT. It is known that SRT may not reduce production of IGF-1, though does impact GH. That is what I've seen other times here when people have retested. It tells you nothing about whether the SRT is still working to neuter the tumour cells.

Hi Wendy, yes, I know this but I wanted you to know the results. The only reason I got him tested was that it is a requirement if one is going to eventually try Cabergoline. All's well. Just an fyi. :cat: We go on.

One more thing: the IM vet just emailed me to ask if I know a lab report on Eddie from June is "on the internet" (meaning on FDMB) and he was concerned about that...

I thought one had to be a member of FDMB to be able to access what's posted???

People who are not signed on (members or not) can look at the content of posts. Though not all of the forums. I always put Neko's lab results in her spreadsheet, which is part of my signature and thus can only be accessed when you are signed on as a member. Plus I liked the easy way I could compare between blood work results over time. I've used the Labs tab for my non diabetic kitties too for that reason.

I was curious what his previous IGF-1 was though. Just data collecting.

I’ll find his previous result. As I recall it was about the same but then again that was after SRT as well.
