Happy Friday!

Of course Cooper decides to be green on a day that I have to go into the office. He has been consistently eating all of his breakfast, so I decided to give his full dose...I hope that was a good decision. :nailbiting: I will probably be anxious and come check on him at lunch—even though I'm supposed to work through lunch lol. Oh well.

He has not been finishing all of his dinner. I'm wondering if it is just too much food now, but he needs to gain weight. I haven't been looking for low carb/high calorie options like I should have been, so that'll be next on the agenda.

But I do know what you mean - it is ironic that we feel so anxious when the kitty gives you such as great preshot!
He did well in the past with the green preshot. Cooper, behave and cruise steadily today!

Oh yay, Gabrielle, Cooper’s numbers are just great! and so happy he’s eating well.
So smart of you to save his favorite flavor to make sure he ate well this am.
Paws crossed for a very safe surf today. Please let us know how he’s doing when you check in a few hours at lunch!

Hi Gabrielle ,great job shooting this morning, and I see he opened up the bakery this morning, good boy Cooper :cat: . Try not to be anxious, like you said you will probably check in him lunch time. Surf safely today Cooper and be a good boy.

He was happy to see me when I got there lol! He hadn't finished breakfast and was a little low for my liking. He ate a few teaspoonfuls before I had to rush off back to work. He just eats so dang slowly nowadays, drives me nuts! I hope he will be okay. I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well! :)

I am still anxious even after checking on him with him being at 61 LOL! He eats his breakfast painfully slowly, but he had already eaten a fair amount at least. I'm sure he'll finish it before I get home and be just fine. I'm willing it to be so! I hope you also have a great day :cat:
 
Good job you two. I’m glad he’s eating well. Thankfully unless not feeling well for other than fd a lower bg usually makes them hungry.

I’m so glad he did well today. It was good you gave him that snack. I’m hoping he finished his good while you were back at work. Have a peaceful evening :bighug::bighug:
 
Well Cooper kind of has taken a dive here at +2 :eek: He ended up leaving a bit of breakfast (he ate most of it), and now has been picking at dinner. Maybe I jinxed it after all lol. He isn't acting like he feels sick though, just not hungry I guess.

Do I need to worry about HC or anything right now or just keep getting him to eat his regular food and check back at +3?
 
Okay, thanks. I always tend to get over anxious real quick lol! He ate a bit more of his dinner, but he's annoyed now so I'll try again in a little while.
 
You can wait 20 minutes to see if the LC brings up the number or offer a tsp of MC or HC just because it's a little early in the cycle like you said. Either way, test in 20-30 minutes.
 
Okay, we're at 59 now. And this is around +4.25. I'm going to try to do some dishes, and should I check on him again in another 30 or so minutes? Also I am still trying to get him to eat some more dinner. He was extremely offended that I've been withholding this delightful HC food lol. Now dinner pales in comparison.

We're at 70 now. :) Since I gave the HC early, I'll need to watch him for a possible drop later, right? About 2 hours after I've given the HC and I need 2 rising tests?
 
Nice :D!! You only gave a tsp of HC at +3.33? He looks like he's on his way up. You could get a +6ish to be sure if you want.
More importantly is he ate tonight!!!
Don't forget to decrease to 3.25 in the AM :bighug:

Yes, that was all the HC he had! And I drizzled some canned tuna water on his dinner for the prince and that was satisfactory so he's eating more dinner now! He's on a fish kick currently lol.

I'll decrease to 3.25U in the morning. Thank you for guiding me! My tour guide through The Panic of Low Numbers. "And over here you'll see Gabrielle hyperventilating while Cooper takes a carefree snooze in his bed..." I kid, I kid. :p
 
You did all the work and were great :bighug:.
It's especially difficult when you're not sure you CAN steer the curve if kitty isn't eating reliably. I sometimes (after 18 months since dx) will give HC with a big drop/ drop into limes early in a cycle. :rolleyes:
Amazing job, truly. And I love reading about The Prince ;).
 
He was doing so well with his eating too, I don't know what happened! I think instead if him not feeling well, this time it's just plain pickiness lol. I'll have to find better flavors again. Thank you!!! :D
