Good morning, all!

Unfortunately Cooper didn't end up finishing his dinner last night, but he is still in good spirits this morning at least. He isn't "sickie Cooper" yet. He did kind of revert a little last night (not wanting to get out of his bed, not wanting to eat, having a very sleepy look on his face, etc), but right before bed he started acting more normal. I wish I could figure this out! It doesn't seem to align with BG at all that I've noticed (as in, it isn't only when he's green or anything like that so it isn't due to being "low").

Anyway, he is eating this morning. He looks a little more bloated than normal, so hopefully he'll poop too. Sorry I always write an entire dissertation on the Ailments of Cooper lol.

Should I continue giving 3.5U as long as he starts eating? The issue is I never know if he will finish since he eats so slowly nowadays and I have to go into the office.

Good morning Gabrielle!
It must be so hard to see him doing well and then, not so well.
But sounds like he is doing better overall?
Hope he continues this path and feels better! :bighug:

Thank you, Kit! He just seems to have these periods of time where I think he's better, and then he just reverts again. But yes, hopefully he will continue on the path to wellness. He did eat almost all of his breakfast this morning even before I left, and he is drinking water again so I'd say it is looking good! :p

Good morning Gabrielle, sending more good thoughts your way for Cooper to feel good and eat well today. Glad to hear he is eating and drinking. If only they could talk to us.
I know you must be worried about the ups and downs.
Keep posting and asking questions. It’s good to get feedback from others since we all have different perspectives.
Hugs to both of you :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Good morning to you! The amount of times I have wished that he could talk and just tell me! Though I'm sure he would have a lot to say about me giving him pills and shots and constantly putting spoonfuls of food in his face while he is trying to sleep--then I might regret my wish LOL.

Gabrielle, what is happening on about the ultrasound? Did you find someone else who was not as expensive?

I did find out that my old vet (my vet prior to Cooper's diagnosis--I changed vets to one closer to home) does ultrasounds, but again, they said they could not give me a quote without Cooper being seen first. I am going to get his records sent over, and make him an appointment there soon. It's just really bad timing for me financially, so I am trying to plan it out.

ETA: I know for a fact they will not charge me $3k though, at least lol! I am guessing probably around $500ish.

Well that’s a better cost figure!! :bighug:
Although, still costly. Isn’t it all too costly, though?! :(

I know you are having to manage the financial side of things which makes it that much harder. :bighug:
$500 sounds much more reasonable than $3000 which is just outrageous!

Right?? I really am wondering how in the world my current vet came to that number as I asked around and--besides ER visits and having multiple tests done--no one else seems to ever have paid close to that for an ultrasound. I am hoping to get it done within the next couple of weeks though!
