Yesterday's thread

Kit's poo issues seem better today (fingers crossed). I was concerned this morning when she dropped to 79 at +2, because I had to go into the building this morning. The board of trustees was doing a tour of several buildings, including mine, and I wanted some build to be happening when they came through the shop, so I left out some 6% food for Kit. I wasn't sure if I was going to make it back home before +7, but my two meetings also happening this morning can be on zoom, so I built during the tour, and then rushed home. So two meetings, and a vet visit at +7, and then back to the school to build. What a day!

Hope everyone has a good Friday!

Busy day for you, Alicia!
Hope the vet visit goes well - it's always a big challenge for me and Mikan!

Luckily, other than a quick discussion about the poopageddan (with a brief inspection of the booty), Kit only needed her Solensia shot, so she didn't even need any gabapentin for this visit.

Her vet recommended trying adding probiotics. Because the poopocolypse only happens 1 or 2 times a month, she's not sure what's happening. We're going to do blood tests at next months visit (we didn't want to try it with Kit unsedated). When the vet looked at Kit's butt, she said it was a mess - not dirty, but that she could see the rectum in ways she shouldn't, but she thinks that's from Kit scooting until she bled while doing so. I may need to try doing sanitary wipes more often, especially if her poo is looking less firm.

We also talked about Kit's numbers, and as per usual she's concerned about Kit being too low. She said it just scares her a bit because what if Kit is dropping even lower when I'm not testing (except when she looks like she is, I'm testing more), and that most IM vets definitely recommend against as much testing as I'm doing. She said she would prefer if Kit was currently on a half unit (she's at 1 unit) so that she doesn't go so low. I said, she's not gonna get regulated/back into remission by staying high. We're sort of at a not antagonistic agree to disagree sort of place. I feel comfortable with what I'm doing, and while she isn't, she let's me do what I'm doing. So I guess that's good.

So glad the vet visit seems to have gone ok Alicia. Poor Kit and her poopy problems. I hope she’s feeling better with all of that.
Try to relax tonight. You had quite the day :bighug::bighug:

LOVE IT! Would like to add these to the FDMB slang dictionary :cat:
Poopageddan rolls off the tongue so easily, I have to slow down and think to say poopocolypse. :joyful::joyful:

Me too! I'm hoping to get some relaxing it at some point. And next week is fall break for us, so I might even get to take an afternoon or maybe even day off!:joyful:
