You have not asked before. We do not use calipers. I just watched a video. Seems complicated.
OK. The markings on syringes can be off by as much as half a unit. That can cause errors and inconsistency in dosing. If you press the plunger fully and check each syringe, you will see that often the zero mark does not align with the plunger in the fully pressed position.

He probably just need to be on 0.5U for a little longer.
