It's a tricky day for me - I couldn't test her at +4 - I fed her a good portion of 15% at +3 but by +5, she really went down :(
Then there were people working in the house and noise scared her and she would not eat, AND I had to come back to work.
Fortunately, DH is there and as soon as the workers leave, he'll make sure that she'll eat some. :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:

I too hope that Mikan does well with reduction but oh well, if not, we just have to come back up!
It feels that she wants to go low, but she just can't figure out exactly how much :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Hope her body system figure that out to steady her BGs soon!

I was FRANTIC this morning. I'm usually okay with the mid to high 40s but the 30s freaks me out.
I tried so hard to make her eat but she was distracted by all the noise. Then of course, other sharks (her sibs) come out of nowhere to finish the plate :rolleyes:
By the time I got back to test her again at +8, she was back up to 115. Hope she will not yo-yo up to the sky o_O

What can I say. If her BG's too high, feels like a failure.
If it gets too low, I feel defeated for not having been able to sustain her BGs.
Can't win!
Hope she gets better response with 2.75U!

It's a roller coaster for you and Mikan - she has a blood sugar roller coaster, and you unfortunately have to deal with the emotional roller coaster. I remember the first time Kit had diabetes, and it's continuing into this one, that when she starts to have better numbers, my brain just adjusts what it wants and I still have a hard time not being hard on myself. Our lizard brains are dumb. You're doing amazing with her, and it's hard. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Your support means so much.
I try my best not to look into the numbers as the indicator of how I am doing - but it's hard not to.
This is one of the unusual things that no matter how hard I try, I may not get the result I want.
Not used to it! :arghh:
Well, but what choices do we have? We gotta keep trying for our babies. I love it when you say

Oof, I can empathize so hard, except with the low numbers! At 50 I'm already panicking lol. But I totally understand being so worried and them not eating at those pivotal moments! And the sharks LOL. You're doing great though! :cat: Mikan is lucky to have you taking such good care of her!

I wish really, that I could do better!
Always chasing her BGs and I'm always one step behind :rolleyes::oops:
But your kind words mean so much and I really want to thank you.
We can't choose the cards we are dealt with. Just have to make the best!

To tell you the truth, I have no fricking idea what is going on, but I'm gonna try my best to keep my Mikan baby girl to stay good.
She love the extreme sports so let's see how much I can neutralize her!
