Hi Alicia, good thing for your furry alarm clock. Oh these early drops. Sigh.
Best of luck with your schedule and tech week. Sounds very challenging. I’m sure you will manage it well.
Message to Kit: please cooperate with Mom’s hectic schedule to keep you safe! :bighug:

She loves the early drops. I think it's punishment for me deigning to leave the apartment to go to work (she's gonna be big MAD this next week. She hates tech weeks because I'm gone more). The week could be worse, I do what I can do make sure I'm not doing extra crazy hours, just slightly crazy hours (50-60 hours instead of 70-80). And it's really only Sunday through Thursday, but it really shakes up that work life balance I try to maintain.

She will be big mad I’m sure. And from her perspective, deservedly so. She just miss your attention like crazy.
I know tech week for a show is nuts.
(My one son has been involved in theatre also, so I’ve watched).

I'm part of team "let's do this, but let's also find ways to make it more sustainable, because it's not". And the attitude that a lot of folks have in theatre of "the show must go on" or "I can't, I'm in theatre" is so pervasive, and desperately needs to be changed. I hope your son has a good time with theatre, without feeling the need to make it his everything. :bighug:

I agree. He actually tried to work within the Broadway community but eventually became disillusioned and changed course. So it’s not his everything anymore. But still loves Broadway and the theater. (Me too)

I agree. He actually tried to work within the Broadway community on the back end, business side, but eventually became disillusioned and changed course. So it’s not his everything anymore. But still loves Broadway and the theater. (Me too)

Yeah, I know a lot of folks who suddenly had lots of downtime when covid hit who have left theatre because they realized they don't have to be burnt out all the time. And it's professionally and academically. It's an interesting time.

I started out feeding her 5% at PMPS and at +1 instead of 2-3%, and it maybe helped? I don't have any 8-9%, but maybe I'll do some mixing and matching of percentages to see if that will keep her from crashing in the PM cycles when I have to test/feed/shoot and then immediately go back to work. I can also have my boyfriend make sure she gets some of the mix for +1 and +2, and hopefully that keeps her coasting.
