So far a better start (knocks wood) to Friday. Ivy ate breakfast well, had a formed poop (yay).
Bg at Amps 273, was lower than lately with all the disruption to her schedule from vet visit and sedation on Tuesday 9/19.
Hoping for a more “normal day” (whatever that looks like.)

For some good news, her lab results were very good (kidney, thyroid etc all good). Knock wood again.
And, she finally got her “walking papers” from surgeon. She can have freedom to wander the house again. (Been 3.5 months since she broke her leg). She’s been confined to a small, safe room with no furniture to jump up on (when I couldn’t supervise her closely and overnight).
It’s been a looooong rough summer for her.

Hoping for a calm day for Ivy and all our kitty friends and parents here. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
What a great update to read this morning!! Go Ivy! You have done a wonderful job not just through this last sedation side effect, but through it all. Take a deep breath and relax! She is going to enjoy her freedom today so you should enjoy watching her! :bighug:

Thank you, Alli. I appreciate that so much. She just deserves to be a cat and not be so fussed with constantly. It’s been a rough period.
Hopefully, we can get back to just focusing on managing the diabetes even better now.
Your help the past few days has been incredible and I thank you eternally.

Working the 3 unit Lantus dose already today.
164 at +1.5 on Libre and dropping fast
Will cross check with Contour if she drops in lows under 60s on Libre. Never a dull moment.

I could see this was going to be active this am.
Giving 12.5% lamb snacks to keep her stable and surfing in Better numbers for her.
Too dicey yet for me to leave, so who knows if I can grocery shop today. Ivy dictates if we eat around here.
But the great news is that she’s eating the snacks on her own. That’s a win after this week!!

That is definitely a win!! Now slow down Ivy, let your snacks work.
 
Well that was a very long stretch of lower numbers for Ivy today. And now she’s up up up. No real surprise I guess. +10 308
