LOW NIGH BG numbers / concern

For the pas few days Corky has been experiencing lower than usual BG numbers, under 200 every night,
Can someone please, review his spreadsheet and advise; I know he has not gone under 90, it really concerns me while I sleep.
A neighbor gave me a Tru METRIX monitor, I find it so much easier the an with the ReliON strips, I've but been pinching and using for every test at least 3 times and 3-4 strips before I would get it right, these new strips have a longer space for collection I am not missing and not pinching as much
Is this monitor ok to use?

I would not be concerned with the blue BGs you are seeing. This is what you are aiming for…to get the BG to lower into normal BGs.
I have not heard of the Tru Metrix monitor but I’m sure it is fine.

@Bron and Sheba (GA) she tests so often, I’m not sure she needs to do a curve but I think it’s time for a dose adjustment according to SLGS right? I feel like the reduction didn’t hold and he needs to go back up to .75. What do you all think? @Sienne and Gabby (GA) @Suzanne & Darcy @Marje and Gracie

I did not quite got the answer, I was concerned for the low BG's if I dose 0.75 instead of what his dose is now 0.5 wouldn't

Yes, but I was trying to get everyone else’s opinion given that he’s still been on the higher side. You want numbers that are lower than 200. That’s the goal. The blues you’re worried about are not low, they’re the numbers you want so his pancreas can heal. The range for a normal cat is 70-120 and he’s been higher than that most of the time. I’d only be concerned with a bg below 70 and of course definitely below 50.

Normal range for a cat, on a human meter, includes numbers in the 50's and 60's. I've even tested a non diabetic at home in the 40's, though 50's more commonly. We just don't want cats on insulin to go that low, as it leaves no margin for safety.

Count me in the camp of holding the dose at 0.5u for now.

I don’t think Maria is comfortable with green and lower blue numbers quite yet and there are too many instances where “a shot” of Karo (not sure how much that is) is given, probably unnecessarily, because of the discomfort with some of the numbers and fear of them dropping too low.

Also, there have been some good numbers on this dose. If we can perhaps ease into not giving Karo quite so often (I’m not sure all of the instances are noted in the spreadsheet), then perhaps we can see what 0.5u can really do.

Maria has had a difficult start and the Libre throwing wonky numbers, and syringe issues, and getting Covid, didn’t help the anxiety level. I really think just holding tight a bit longer might be beneficial on many levels.

I followed directions as instructed, since the middle of August I have given my Babies Fancy Feast Classic with gravy
meat/turkey, compared to the MeauMix I was feeding them, Corky's numbers after the switch, were noticeably good BG's as told. However, on the 14th mid-morning meal I found one last MeauMix container and gave 1/2 to each of them, now I noticed how the numbers started to change, since 2PM yesterday the numbers started to get higher,
his AMPS was huge, after checking +2 I was satisfied laid down a bit longer, something told me to check his BG again, thank God I did BG 85 immediately gave him a high carb and shot of Karo
I know I sound boring in constantly asking the same question, please review spreadsheet
and advise

Toss out the rest of the Meow Mix. It's high carb food. If you can stick to the low carb food it's best.

Oh! I did !!! thanks I know that now his numbers will be random because of a curve I am beggining to understand and I read all about ProZinc/dosing this afternoon
