I decided to go ahead and feed him to make sure he will eat okay. He is eating much more slowly, so I don't know if he'll finish all of it.
 
He did eat a fair amount, but not all of it. I am going to skip his shot for this morning in case he ends up being sick again. Also it is a little too late for me to get back on track. I hope this is the right choice.
 
Hi Gabrielle, sorry I am only just seeing this. He will recover from the skip. Is it an hour now since his shot was due?
 
Sorry I was not around earlier. If you get a lower than normal preshot you can stall, dont feed and test again in 20 minutes to see if the BG is rising.
Remember you shoot low to stay low. You have finally reached the stage you were longing to reach!
That was a lovely green cycle last night.
I’m glad he is feeling better today and eating.
One of my cats (not Diabetic) was vomiting yesterday. She seems better today but I’m feeding her smaller meals more often as she is still not eating a full meal.

Yes, and I had a note from you saved in my phone that said just this! The only reason I elected to go ahead and feed him was to be sure he wouldn't throw up again and worry me going too low with the shot. I felt like I had made the wrong choice last night by giving it without being sure he would eat, so I was scared to repeat that lol! I will be sure to do this next time. I hope he doesn't go too high today!

The depot will be quite big so will help keep the BGs lower.
It is always hard to know what to do if you have a kitty who is vomiting and needing insulin. You didn’t make the wrong decision. It is always easy in hindsight, isn’t it?
I’m just really happy to see he dropped down to greens again….

Yes, for sure! At least I experienced it now so hopefully I will feel a tad more prepared if it ever happens again. But hopefully it doesn't LOL.

Yes, finally! He was on quite the streak there of nothing but yellow and blue, no pink or red. Hopefully we'll make our way back to that and more greens. :)
