Is an autofeeder an option? So she can get a snack when you're not around and also so that she cannot eat food that you've left out for her at AM+5 later than say +6 or so. I wonder if her eating late in the cycle is contributing to higher preshots.

I've hesitated to buy one because she's historically been picky about what she'll eat from, and I don't want to purchase something that she won't use. I found a bowl she liked and ordered 5 of them. I'm not sure how returnable autofeeders are if you've tried them for awhile but found it's not something that works for you. And she may be totally fine with.

And then we have this morning's cycle, which is looking amazing. I'll have to do some research to see if there's an autofeeder that isn't super pricey, maybe?

I bought an autofeeder but havent successfully convinced herman to use it yet. He prefers his many meals and snacks be presented to him in situ with a flourish. He gets snacks in bed, in the barn, on my porch....spoiled. He will wake me up by biting me at 3am even if there is a snack left for him at his upstairs bedroom feeding station. He expects me to place it under his nose.

Yeah, Kit's pretty persnickety in her old lady settled ways. Depending on if she's in the walk in closet or if she's on our bed or the guest bed sort of determines where she's currently being fed. The more I think of it, can I come back as one of our cats? :joyful:

They sure have us trained, don’t they, Amy? :)
