I recently started using the Modified Prozinc Method. Initially we held the dose of 2.25U a few cycles longer because 1) it looked like he was bouncing and 2) I had started feeding him Dr Elsey’s dry food at the same time I increased his dose and it appeared his BG was spiking because of it. So we gave him some time to get it out of his system. I now know that I shouldn’t be feeding him even the low carb dry foods while using the MPM. Now, for two days his daytime nadirs have been green. As I understand the protocol, that means I hold his dose. I just want to clarify that is the case. Does it make any difference that his nighttime numbers are not as low? I’m wondering if that is because he isn’t getting any small meals during the night unless he “asks” for it before I go to bed between 11 and 12. He always gets 1 or 2 small meals during the day.
