Posting yesterday and this morning's results (in next post).

I've been able to feed him more low carb foods again and reintroduced the Antinol the last 3 days since he seems to be perking up and returning to his baseline behaviors. He's asking for food again so that is reassuring.

Am I correct in assuming he'll need to go up on his dose?

Hi there I'm no expert but to me it looks like Artemis could use an increase
I think you may be holding the dose too long
I hope he's eating better for you

SLGS
After 1 week at a given dose perform a 12 hour curve, testing every 2 hours OR perform an 18 hour curve, testing every 3 hours. Note: Random spot checks are often helpful to "fill in the blanks" on kitty's spreadsheet. The goal is to learn how low the current dose is dropping kitty prior to making dose adjustments.
  • If nadirs are more than 150 mg/dl (8.3 mmol/L), increase the dose by 0.25 unit
  • If nadirs are between 90 (5 mmol/L) and 149 mg/dl (8.2 mmol/L), maintain the same dose
  • If nadirs are below 90 mg/dl (5mmol/L), decrease the dose by 0.25 unit

I agree, but saw the instructions for SLGS say to hold dose for 1 week each time before changes in dose? Is there flexibility on this?

I hope he's eating better for you
Yes! He's eating much much better. Like his old food-driven self. He really loves the ritual of asking for food, talking, being fed, getting pets, etc. I guess the auto-feeder will be an emergency-only kind of tool. Really rocked his world in a bad way to introduce that. Poor guy!

Missed the 2 hour mark already if I'm doing this today. Should I push it off to tomorrow anyways for when he's had his 2nd dose of 1.5u?

I can tag a few members for you to be sure an increase is needed
Thanks! Really appreciate the help.

By the way can you start a new post for today (8-26) instead of adding today's numbers to this one :cat:
No problem, I just don't understand what the point of doing a post with today's numbers is when they haven't been recorded yet? Can you help me understand what the cadence is here? Post in evening for the day you've just completed? What if the post is always before the PMPS?

They like us to post a new post for everyday,,then you can continue with his numbers when you do additional tests and you can continue with his PMPS tests

The Lantus board is busy and has a lot of people posting. By having a daily thread, it prevents the threads from becoming too long to be functional. Once you have tested at AMPS, or at any point thereafter, we'd ask that you start a thread for that day. You then add the numbers to the subject line as you collect data for the day.

Could you explain what you meant by:
...a post with today's numbers is when they haven't been recorded yet
I wasn't clear on what you meant.

If you would prefer to do a curve tomorrow, that's fine. However, you're not likely to see much of a response to a new dose on the first day of a dose change. Also, did Artemis get insulin last evening? There's no dose indicated and no tests past PMPS.

You actually answered this question here:

Yep, just no further tests after PMPS.
Forgot to put down the 1.25. Fixed it. Now the sheet is accurate up to this minute.
