Wonder if anyone is around for a quick answer…
Mabel didn’t eat her wet food last night so I left it out overnight for her. I’m not sure what time she ended up eating it. I checked her sugar this morning and it was at 211, which is low for her. I’m assuming she recently ate her food. I’m wondering if it’s still ok to give the full 1 unit at 211? Thank you!!

I found an article on here and it seems that is a plenty high number to still give her the regular dose.

It should be fine to give Mabel her shot.

Is there any way you can get a few more tests in on a regular basis? You should aim for 4 tests per day -- your two pre-shot tests and one test in both the AM and PM cycles. With SLGS, you also need to do a curve (i.e., testing every other hour for 12 hours) once a week. Typically, you evaluate the effectiveness of the dose and increase if numbers aren't in a desirable range.

Yes. I am available to do more testing on the weekends. And will plan to do it today. I don’t know if today will be accurate for a curve since she started lower than her usual #. But I will be close to home all day so try to get tests every other hour.
