update for Zappa:
took Zappa in Tuesday for his follow up - the large cyst in his pancreas “refilled” even larger so they drained it again. Still no cancer cells in the fluid drained from the cyst. Got a B-12 shot. His TAMU test shows he’s 100 points below the lowest value, so I’m hoping the B-12 kicks in. Started him on Visbiome today. Still on Clavamox but we stopped the gabapentin. They also did the ultrasound again on his bladder and they still see nothing on his bladder.
He still feels like crap. No vomiting or diarrhea since the hospital, thank God.
woke up this morning and he was laying on the couch like a limp rag. My cats all come running when I crack the cat food can. Nothing from Zappa. Threw him in the car and raced back to the hospital. They scanned his belly and nothing wrong, he ate a half cat of food for the vet and was much more animated.
Came home and back to the limp rag on the couch. Ate a little more, BGs in the mid 200s. The vet said to take him off the gabapentin for now (he’s been on that plus a ton of drugs for a week). He finally got up and “asked” me for food. Peed 2x today. I’m wondering if all the drugs have made him sleep so much.
His urine test came back ok.
Does anyone know how soon B-12 injections take effect? We will do another on on his next recheck a week from Saturday.
Im a few days behind updating his spreadsheet, but I will.
