Struggling with large drops and bouncing

Hi, I know you can manipulate the curve by feeding. My problem is that I can’t consistently feed certain times. Sometimes he drops a lot when I first give his dose and others times not. I am really struggling because he does not want to stay in the blue/green zone. I don’t know how to help my Monster. There is a lot of literature but he always seems to fall outside the guidelines.

He got a 79 and a 77 on 7/27 and earned a reduction. His new dose should have been 3 units after that. I suggest you post on the Lantus forum to get more eyes on this!

Monster has a custom reduction of 70 since he doesn’t stay long in blue and green. Nobody seems to respond in the Lantus group. I’m not sure if I am doing something wrong.

I have the same problem with the Lantus group. I have one person who is great who answers my queries but that is it. I have a feeling this forum may be dying. Very frustrating. Putting a ? in the title does no good.I have a query in there now and nothing!

When posting on the Lantus Board
You would do it like this
Date Monster AMPS # and any additional tests after that and you can continue with PMPS 1
Always link your previous
To add additional tests look to the right you will see the word Thread Tools. Tap on that then tapon Edit Title. Add your BG numbers then tap Save

@Mikey’sDad the reason some people may not be getting posts answered as quickly lately is because a few of the people who are regularly here have had sick cats and have not been around as often.

Cheryl, I know how frustrating bouncing and diving can be. Sheba was a champion at both.
Apart from feeding the curve and letting Monster be in the lower numbers as often as possible to get used to them, there is not a lot else you can do. Just keep following the dosing method.
If you are having trouble getting answers, use the ? Sign and if that does not work, try tagging someone

A lot of times it is about generally how to proceed and not the specific day. By the time I know what’s going on with his dropping there isn’t enough time to get a response.

I think all you can do is follow the dosing method, and try and encourage him to surf if you can in the lower numbers by feeding him just a little low carb when he drops into green.
