7/20 Bubbas AMPS 328, PMPS 379, +2 360-advice please!!

Ohh, Bubbas. :( I'm not experienced enough to offer dose advice, but I can tell you the roller coaster is real, and annoying, and frustrating, and scary. Jack has been on it for 1.5 years already, and the dose goes up and the dose goes down, and just when I think I've 'got it'....his body changes again. Sending you much love and many hugs, hang in there, it does get better, and everyone on this board is very helpful. They were the reason my other cat Mopem went into remission. :bighug::bighug:

Yeah it is pretty tough. I’m just thankful that his blood sugar isn’t like super super high like I see other peoples kittens are. It’s just a waiting game so I gotta be patient. And thank you!! Kind words always make this journey a little better!! :bighug::bighug:

If anyone could maybe give me some insight to what might be going on with bubbas that would be great!! I thought a bounce should clear within 6 cycles, which was yesterday. His numbers were in the 200’s yesterday but then today they spiked back up to the 300’s. I don’t think this is a bounce …or I guess I am not sure on what’s going on. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks!!!

Hi Katrina. Our kitties didn't become diabetic overnight. It takes some time and patience, but you'll get to a breakthrough dose. Just follow the SLGS method and Bubbas will get there :bighug::bighug:

Like i said I don't have dose advice, but I've found the hardest part is the patience with the holding of the doses when the numbers are high. I can't do TR, we are on a SLGS regimen that is slightly customized for him and his issues, but seriously, the struggle is real. Hang in there, you're doing everything you can. Sending hugs and love :bighug:

Oh yeah that’s totally fine! Was thinking someone could hop in the thread that could give some insight, but not much to give! Haha and thank you! It is hard but I keep trying to remind myself irs not a run, it’s a walk. :bighug::bighug:
