Wow, that is a huge variation. I don’t use gabapentin because it can cause respiratory distress at the wrong dose. I would call the vet or err on the side of caution and give the lower end.

I have really poor cell coverage right now but if you look in the Health Index/FAQ part of the board, there is a post there on pain scales to help you decide if he’s in pain.

Yes I give the .4 as I think the .8 is too much.
