Skipped the 4th but spreadsheet is up to date. Want to see tomorrow where we are. She begs at dinner about 6-6:30 PM I give her the Fancy Feast individual treats may skew her numbers, she stands up on her rear legs at the table and taps me. Her front legs are a little wobbly now she has been on the B12 for 2 weeks. Kind of worried about that. Seems worse not better. Other than that she is doing great. She still holding at 13lbs. Got her a new litter box angled for the corner and is huge and a low spot to get in and out. Don't think at first she was crazy about it but now she likes it much better for her to turn around in.

Hi Lynne does Allie have diabetic neuropathy?
When you say you're giving B 12 do you mean Methyl B-12?
@Breelynne
BTW Allie is beautiful :bighug::cat:

Hi diane! Thank you :) I have a picture of her belly and they look like flames! LOL I should post a picture of her twisted sister position!

Oh yeah she has it some days she can jump other days she fumbles. She has a little hock walk and was overcompensating with her fronts but her muscle loss has been a downfall for her. Some days she jumps up and all is fine other days it is apparent she struggles. I also have CKD in the back of my head too since that can happen with cats that develop CKD.

Yep, for sure it is Methyl B-12 and she is 2 weeks in 3mg a day. I thought about switching to Zobaline.

Tyler had neuropathy , Tyler was walking like a rabbit , his back legs , like flat footed
Until Allie get regulated the Methyl B-12 will help
I started giving it right away like you have probably have done
It took about 2 months for Tyler to get back to walking normal, jumping on to the couch, running around like a but lol
But every few weeks I did see a slight improvement
The Zobaline is very expensive for what you get for 60 pills
Give me a minute and I'll post what I used , another member told me about this

The only difference is , is that the Zobaline has Folic Acid in it, 200 MCG so what I did I just went to my supermarket and picked up the folic acid , I could only find 400 MCG so I just cut them in half , ground them up and added it to the Methyl B-12
Some members didn't even add it to the Vitacost Brand and it still worked
Just add water to the wet food which you probably do already and just add the B-12 and folic acid and mix it up good. It's all tasteless
The 5000 ncg is fine too give, it's water soluble so they will pee out what they don't need

It's a capsule just open it and sprinkle it on the wet food food
Vitacost. 14.49 for 100 capsules
Just sprinkle it on the wet food always add water to the wet food
One per day

Tyler had neuropathy , I would say it took about 2 months for him to totally to start walking normal, jumping on to the couch and running.

You can start using the Methyl B-12 now
Some members use Zobaline its so expensive like 34.00 for 60 pills
I was using that in the beginning then a member here told me about the Vitacost brand so I switched to that. A lot of members use the Vitacost brand now

Glad to hear Tyler got back to normal and also OTJ well done!
Allie isn't that bad yet but isn't jumping up on anything anymore and no zoomies :( On a good day she gets up in the cat tree but hasn't done that in a few days. I am giving her the Methyl B-12 3mg a day but no folic Acid, I'll order that today and another bottle of the B12, tyvm! She has been on the B12 for about 2 weeks. I order from Vitacost so I'm already a member. Going there not to get some. Anything I can do to try and help her out. Thanks so much for the information @Diane Tyler's Mom!

She eats anything right now so I just undo the B12 capsules and put it in her food, she doesn't care. She loves her cat grass so now and then both cats get a little butter lettuce too, just a few pieces here and there while their cat grass is growing. My Cassie cat can be in any room in the house and if I say "Cat Grass" she comes running.

I have noticed though Allie lost her interest in catnip?

@Diane Tyler's Mom I got Folic Acid 400 mcg but it has Calcium 70mg in it. I did not notice when I ordered it. I have not opened it or gave her any. May I ask if your Folic Acid had anything else in it? TIA
