Big :kiss::kiss::kiss: to everyone for tips, tricks and support for calming Cleo during fireworks.
I gave her 50mg of Gabapentin right after her dinner and sprayed all the social areas with feliway. She did much better when the fireworks went off (hiding under the bed instead of in the basement) and she came to bed with us as soon as she deemed it safe. :cat:
Probably going to do the same routine tonight through the Fourth. Ordered some Rescue Remedy and will try that too when it gets in.

I'm glad the gaba took the edge off. One of my cats stayed in their house last night, sbe wouldn't come out for anything, not even her snack. I'm dreading Tuesday, and thinking of dosing her at dinner that night. I have plenty of pills..:confused:
 
I'm glad that helped. I hate fireworks too. I'm dreading the 4th. It will be my first time with Chi Chi. I don't know how she'll react. It scared most of my cats in the past. I hope you see some green today.

Went out to eat last night with my sister her husband and son
Dinner was really good, there is a great Italian restaurant in town.
I had scungilli in sweet sauce over linguine it was so good and we had fried calamari in medium sauce
Cheryl has chicken piccata her son had chicken francese, and her husband had chicken parmesan. Nice hot Italian bread. I was stuffed. I think that's the most I ate since Ashley passed
My sister found a coin in the store and on both sides were a pic of an angel

Sounds delicious (except for the scungilli)! I'm glad you ate. All good signs :bighug:. Give Tyler (and yourself) some time. I bet Tyler notices the signs and then looks for her ;)
 
I was in and out for most of the day today and didn't get a lot of tests in :(.
I finally got a Lantus curve with PMPS ending where she started at AMPS. I am thinking of taking her up a full 0.25U in the AM if no good greens tonight. I'm home all day and night 7/3-7/5 but I hesitate with the extra stress from fireworks which affects here #s drastically one way or the other.
Thoughts? Opinions? Prayers? Vigils?

I don't have enough dosing experience to offer any worthwhile advice, I'm just sending prayers and hugs, and hoping you both come through the long weekend ok. It's so tough; the weather, the noise, the slightest change in my own mood all affect Jack immediately. Keeping you and Cleo in my prayers- hope you get some good advice and Cleo has some nice, safe green numbers for you :bighug:
