Morning all.
Couldn't get back to sleep this morning so thought I'd post lm shenanigans from last night.
DH finally experienced a low enough to scare him. Pmps was only 64. Dh decided on his own it was out of his depth and skipped his shot since I was at work. He said with all the trouble with test strips he has had lately he felt scared in case he couldn't get him tested.
I think we've been working with a not so good bottle. Several of them will not suck up the blood. Even I've gone through quite a few. Bottle is nearly used up at least.
He did remember to test it twice and he got a 65 on second test.
I did tell him that insulin doesn't work like he is thinking. That generally if he starts lower he just stays more flat. He understood but just still felt nervous having that much control and being in charge by himself. He said he still tried to get a +2 test but went through 5 strips all of which wouldn't suck up blood and lm was getting super frustrated so he had to let it go. He ended up keeping him in bedroom with him to keep an eye on him till I got home since he couldn't get a test. I found it cute and funny as without insulin the odds of him going too low were well almost nonexistent. I ended up testing at what would have been +4 and +6 and he held his own. I'm impressed by how far he has come and I owe that to all of you!
Thanks FDMB family for the love and support and all the education I've received here. It's helped me not only with my own baby but a friend at work had a diabetic kitty now..
