My cat keeps going Hypo . It’s shot time again , what do I do ?

Yesterday my cat went hypo during the day , I was able to raise it by giving high carb FF throughout the day . Last night I dropped his pro zinc from 3.75 to 2.75 but he went hypo again in the night . I raised that by giving FF and honey . His BG is a bit lower then it was last night pre shot . Do I give insulin? Maybe 1 unit ??? I’ve never come across a situation like this with him . He was responsive during his hypo spells just low energy

I can tag a few members for you, I'm no expert, can you please update your spreadsheet now, also is there a reason you haven't tested Max in the past , there are so many dates that are blank. Some days you did not fill in how many units you gave for instance 6-11 and 6-12
You need to be testing everyday and additional tests after that , even at night
I don't mean it as a criticism , just worried about Max

Thank you for your response . I posted on the Facebook group and have somebody that offered assistance there aswell . I wasn’t sure if either post would be seen .

Max is my moms cat , I live with her but travel and am gone often . My mom has tried in the past to test and had difficulty . After this she understands how it important it is and is going to try again .

I would stick to 2.5U until we see what happens after he clears the bounce. Try that any time above 200. Below that really depends on your ability to monitor; wesometimes recommend a token or reduced dose (10-50% of normal dose) or a skip..

I’m not sure if my spread sheet is showing properly up to date . His bg is 163 this morning . Is it showing the drops yesterdays and last night ? On my end it is but I’m not great with this website .

he was raised from the 2.5u a long time ago because his numbers were consistently in the 400s and high 300’s . He went back up to 4 units and recently for the last month or so I was giving 3.75 on it untill yesterday I noticed he wasn’t himself( lethargic but still responsive ) and that’s why I tested him and say he was at 37 so I fed high carb fancy feast and he went up and then dropped back down . Last evening I gave 2.75 and he still dropped in the night again . So now I’m wondering if I should skip a dose or give 2 units because his numbers were so similar at the 3.75 dose as the 2.75 later that night .

I can bring Max into work with me today and monitor through out the day yes .

Yes, for this morning, give him 1U. He might need a higher dose going forward but without enough data, it's hard to say how much.

I did give him 1.5 because I was suggested 2 units on the Facebook group by an admin and you suggested 1 so I met in the middle with what I’m comfortable with . I didn’t mean to double post . I didn’t expect I’d get so much support so fast ! Thank you . I will make sure maxs spread sheet is better updated .

Please remove the 911. That is reserved for symptomatic hypos and immediate emergency. Use the question mark instead of a low number as you were able to bring the bg up with hc. Thanks.
