6/21, Tango, AMPS 277 - Inc to 2.75 , +2.5 111, + 3 74, + 3.5 77, +7 61, +10 213, PMPS 439, +2 388

Just to clarify, you fed MC at +3? What % was the MC?

It is early in the cycle but 74 is a very safe number. I would test again at +4ish and see if the MC slowed Tango down a bit

Fed MC (14%) at +3
I also have HC (25%)

Ok to give him more LC? It's lunch time and we haven't given him his normal amount.

Just realized, we don't have higher end LC. We have Weruva and Almo Nature, which are both pretty low in carbs. Gave him Weruva 1st time.

If you typically feed now, then I would, but maybe reserve a bit to feed at +4 to keep him surfing in the greens.

ETA - please update your SS when you get the chance :)

You are in good hands with Angela.

:)Interestingly enough, his break through dose first time around on insulin was 2.5 units. I'd heard it usually takes a bit more the second time around and this is looking like 2.75 is seeing some traction. Sometimes cats will give you a hint of what the new dose can do on the first dose of the increase. Surfs up Tango. :D

HC is 15% and higher. 14% is pretty close to HC. Might be worth getting a few lower MC or higher LC for the kitty cupboard.

Paws crossed we reached breakthrough dose. Will add lower MC and higher LC to kitty cupboard. Thank you:cat:

I'm blushing . Thank You for the compliment.

NO thanks necessary Just paying it forward and VERY HAPPY to do it. Besides, I remember and was thrilled when Tango went OTJ last October. I was a learning lurker back then :p
Fingers crossed he gets regulated quickly :cat:

I'll just say glad you're here helping all us kitty parents out. So grateful for each one of you. This forum has been obsoletely amazing:joyful:

That was quite exciting when Tango went into remission. Really didn't think it would happen that soon. Hope it's a short trip this time.

Ok. I just used the Balancit to calculate carb % and it says 17.79. I'm really confused. I thought for sure Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken was really low. I can't figure out why I thought that now.

If he stays in the 60s do we still shoot 2.75 tonight?
TR Protocol you can shoot the full dose of any number 50 and above as long as you monitor, have enough testing supplies, and MC and HC food / hypo kit just in case. I will be fast asleep by your PMPS but Bhooma should be back online by then.
If this were my Cleo, I would try and get another test at about +8ish and again at +10ish to see if BGs are flat and rising.

We'll definitely get a couple more tests in. Hope you enjoy the rest of your evening and sleep well:)

Hi Lori, congrats on Tango seeing green again. :D It's good he didn't save this for a PM cycle!
Any tests after that +6.5? Did he get some food then?

That's for sure. Would've went into panic mode if it was PM cycle. Night's not over yet though.

Yes, he did get some Weruva after +6.5 test. Also gave him a little higher carb (14%) about 2:00. Just tested +10 213 - Did he just hit his NADIR and is coming back up?

This would be what time in the cycle? +8?

Yes, looks like he is zooming up in a bounce from the lower numbers he saw today. I don't think you need to be worried about shooting low - just yet :)

Phew... that would be nice. No :nailbiting:

Right now, it's 8:40pm - almost at +11. +8 is 6:00

Our dosing time is 10:00.
