Up to 4U tonight?

Yeah… this A.M. cycle is cycle 6, so increase tonight to 4 Units. I have to think we’re getting close to the target dose. She still eating plenty and ready to eat when she hears the alarm go off she has been drinking less water which is a good sign. It appears she’s gained .5 pounds, but I have to weigh her a couple more times all I have is a regular scale, so I just weigh myself with her in my arms and then weigh myself and subtract obviously. But she had lost a little weight when we changed her from dry food to wet food of course when you’re talking about .4 or .5 pounds, they can be a slight margin of error, also, if she has a full bladder could make a difference too. More importantly, she’s not losing weight, and as far as getting her to a more “normal“ weight is some thing I can concentrate on once I get her regulated. Of course I don’t want her gaining 3 pounds but fluctuating a little bit I think is OK.

I don’t know exactly what he said her ideal weight is… if he said it all… But she’s a little fluffy. She’s not fat fat she’s 15 pounds but she’s a larger cat she’s not small. I would have to guess that her ideal weight is probably around 12 pounds or so.

Good to know on the weight. She probably shouldn't be gaining weight at this point. You might want to trim her daily calories back a little bit. I invested in a pet/baby scale and find it quite handy for keeping track of amounts of food to feed.

This morning she was having trouble pooping. She has been pooping regularly, but sometimes it is hard. Not always. We used to put “Libbys pumpkin” in his food, but I am assuming that’s not good for diabetics. Do you know anything that is good for stool softening for diabetics? Money is really tight gonna have to take her back to the vet at some point I realize , but trying to do as much as I can myself. Obviously, there’s limits to that.
