What are you planning on doing with the dose? Also, Chick Magnet is 16%, so technically HC. Maybe Max responds well to lower HC now.

Sorry to hear about your fur-niece. :bighug:

Okay thanks. He likes the chick magnet and so far it doesn’t bother his tummy. We just started using that one. Didn’t realize it was HC, but it works!
I’m not sure what to think yet. What do you think I should do with the dose? If he needs another reduction already, I would still do the 0.25 unit increments for him. He came up pretty easily with the HC this time so I’m not sure what’s best.

This is the 4th cycle of this dose, so only a little bit of the 4.25 unit depot in there. The reason I asked is that there was a point when Neko was doing her SRT/IAA freefall when I got that "feeling" that told me to reduce. Just wondering what your gut was telling you. It does seem like he's throwing limes at you every other day. The other thing to consider is if you are tired and need a break. The old saying "easier to go up than fight the lows".

I understand what you mean about the gut feelings. But, to be honest, I am so used to fighting high numbers with Max, and it’s been so long since SRT, I am not sure what I feel at this point. I’ve been pondering it all afternoon. I hope it’s the SRT or it’s the IAA fading and not something seriously wrong with his health. I know that’s not answering your question though.

I think depending on how high he’s bounced at pmps, I may go ahead and take the reduction. If he’s really up there, I will wait and try it in the morning if he’s cleared the bounce overnight. Even though I’m not sure what’s happening, I think we need to reduce either tonight or tomorrow to see if he can hold it. These good numbers and reductions coming so fast all seem too good to be true to me and I’m trying not to get my hopes up! I think I just didn’t expect anything like this to happen, but I am really glad his numbers are coming down and he’s held the reductions so far.

When I said gut feel above, I should have added it included a lot of time staring at the spreadsheet. The close together reductions mean something is happening. Since he seems to be feeling good, I'll go with late stage SRT action or IAA. Note, I do remember one kitty who had SRT who took even longer than Max when a SRT die off happened. Neko had a long stall in action, before resuming the downward dose direction, but only to 0.75 units. Oh well, close is good too.

I too have studied his SS as well as looking at Neko’s SS’s. I know ECID but I was trying to sort of see what to expect and learn how you managed Neko. It seems like it all happened so fast, Max got really sick there for a while, then he started feeling better and better and the numbers started falling quickly. He does still like to play so he’s feeling good from what I see. I did take the reduction tonight even though he bounced. I’m just going to think positive and see what Max wants to do. Like you said, I can always go back up if it’s too soon. Thanks a bunch for your input, it helps a lot.

And by the way, I’d take “getting close” to being OTJ any day. I hope we can do it too, but just as long as Max is feeling good, I’m happy with that.
