Based on today's work schedule, and the fact that I needed sleep last night, I decided to give Jack 6.5 units last night since he has been going low overnight. He was 329 at his PMPS and it was 30 minutes early to recover from the morning stall, but it seemed to work the way I wanted it to; he was 126 for his AMPS and is 117 at +3 after his current 'normal' dose of 7 units since Beastly ate kibble this morning.
I am still planning on getting at least one, hopefully two, overnight readings, but probably not until Friday night since I don't have to work Saturday, and Abby's vet appt isn't until 11am. I'll be up for Jack at his normal time (6:30am EDT) but I can bum around in my PJ's for a bit, and possibly even grab a nap in the afternoon, so I figure the best night is Friday night.
Also, Jack is back to mushy poop (which required some baby wipes on his posterior this morning
) so took the YA away again, and he had Ziwi Peak instead. He's not consistent with eating the Ziwi Peak though, so not sure it's a viable replacement for the YA. I'm not sure why the 50% YA is making problems all of a sudden-- maybe I'll reduce to 25% YA, 25% Ziwi and 50% Elsey's and see what happens.
I can't imagine trying to explain any of this to people who don't live the same struggle, so I just want to say thank you to everyone here. Just being able to commiserate means the world to me, not to mention all the wonderful advice that helps Jack (and previously Mopem) live his best, most healthy life. Sending love and blessings to you all

Darn thing won't eat any of that hairball laxative stuff, or even petroleum jelly. She's just one of my 'pukers' Otis actually had a normal poop this morning, so I grabbed some, but I'm hoping for a 'fresher' sample tomorrow morning....he's got a pretty regular BM schedule if he's feeling ok. Thanks for asking about everyone...I'll keep you posted on Abby....just crossing paws I can get her in the carrier.
