5/25 Xena Increased .25U,AMPS 237, +3 270,+6 290,+7.5 270, +9 288, PMPS 287, +2 274, +4.5 279,+7 295

So….. we had a first today. When I fed Xena the last meal of her a.m. cycle at +7.5, I gave her. Maybe 1/3 Cup roasted chicken and 1/8 can Friskies, and she ate all the chicken, but she did not finish the Friskies. It look like she maybe took a couple bites and left the rest. I noticed it because she always eats every drop and often is looking for more, but I didn’t think it was a big deal because it was a decent amount of chicken.
HOWEVER… for her PMPS I gave her 1/3 can of Friskies, and just a small amount of chicken. She didn’t come close to finishing it. She didn’t eat any of the chicken and she ate about half the cat food. This is a BIG change. She has become less ravenous, but she’s never turned down food since diagnosis. It’s not like her numbers are low. I don’t know if that’s a good sign or what that means. I figured her ravenous eating would improve but I thought that would happen when her numbers got closer to normal. She’s also kind of grumpy today, but she gets like that sometimes.
I can’t really tell if the amount of water she’s drinking has changed, but I do track it. I only know the daily amount by tracking when it’s empty how long it took to drink.

She ate some food so should be fine. Lantus won’t kick in for 2 hours. I’m going to look at your ss. Please remember to put the pmps in the subject. Do you have honey or Karo just in case she won’t eat and she needs to? She’s at a safe BG to shoot.

yes, I have an entire hypo kit and all the instructions printed out. I didn’t put the numbers in the title of this post because I have a daily post already that has all of the numbers etc. I just posted this says like a separate subject.
Also, Wendy told me to keep my a.m. and p.m. numbers in the same post because there’s so many posts in this forum right now so I didn’t want to make another post with my numbers.
yes, I wasn’t uncomfortable shooting I mean it’s not like her numbers are low and I tests plenty and will test even more if I have a reason to. I was just wondering do you think that she’s not eating as much because of the insulin helping her feel satiated? I mean that’s what I would think. It’s just been so long since I’ve seen her refuse any kind of food whatsoever I was like shocked.

Thank you for responding.

I've merged both of today's threads. We request that people post just one thread per day, and update it as the day goes along. There are enough cats on this forum that it's pretty busy even with just one thread per cat.

As cats get closer to a better dose, their behaviours can change before their numbers do. Do you think Xena is getting enough calories today compared to pre diagnosis? Maybe she'll decide to eat more later.

Sorry, you did tell me that, but I thought that you meant just to keep the morning and evening number posts together. I just wanted to mention the lower intake of food and there’s only so much room in thread title, so I didn’t know exactly how to go about it, I guess I could just tag somebody and reply to my own daily post? Or is it better to post something like that in the general medical forum? I know I read that it’s best to update the numbers in the thread title so you guys don’t have to open up everybody’s spreadsheets I’m still taking a lot of readings so I don’t know if you have any suggestions about that but I don’t want to make it any harder for you guys that’s for sure, I do think she’s getting plenty of calories. It was just so strange to see her leave any food on a plate? She ate again like two hours later. You basically answered my question by saying that behaviors might change before the numbers do which I thought is probably the case.
