175 (after stalling 30 min.), PMPS 193I’m on my phone and can’t enlarge the ss. What did you shoot last?
25 min ago. Could this be because I was an hour late (forgot the alarm) shooting last night? Oh sorry, you mean dosage? 0.5UI’m on my phone and can’t enlarge the ss. What did you shoot last? You can shoot the regular dose if you. can monitor.
Too low to shoot or do I test again?25 min ago. Could this be because I was an hour late (forgot the alarm) shooting last night? Oh sorry, you mean dosage? 0.5U
Had tried to change it from my phone, just says Fill Color, I select blue, & nowhere to hit Save or anything like that, then nothing changes. Will try again when I get access to a computer again. Also, was I supposed to test daily after PM shot? If so, didn't know this. ThanksYou need to change that black cell to blue
I definitely agree with Elise
It would be good if you could get a before bed test at night and to see how low the bg is at night once in awhile set an alarm to get a +5-7.
Also we really don't know what's going on during the night time cycle because you haven't been testing after Celia's PMPS shot
Yes you should test daily after you test her at PMPS to see what his number isAlso, was I supposed to test daily after PM shot? If so, didn't know this. Thanks
I don’t know if it’s because you shot late last night or nothing. Did you shoot a hour late this morning at your regular tine? Shooting ear,y can sometimes act limevan increase. You will need to manually color the preshot box blue. I was not able to see the bg on my phone but saw black. No, I shot 12h from when I shot (1h late) the night before. Cant get the box to change to blue from my phone, there's nowhere to save it after I select color, although it worked for one of today's tests so maybe because there were 3 tests done there at once (bc BG was too low). I don't know if it's the app or my phone, so will try as soon as I get access to a PC. Didn't know to get +5, &/or +7 tests. Are these daily? Yes we would like them to be so we can see how low Celia's BG is dropping and so you might miss if a reduction is needed, you can even try and get a +6 at nightDidn't know to get +5, &/or +7 tests. Are these daily? Thanks.
And Should they be daily until her dosage changes or no? And I'm doing a curve today, vet had requested to see it a week after starting insulin.Yes we would like them to be so we can see how low Celia's BG is dropping and so you might miss if a reduction is needed, you can even try and get a +6 at night
Yes it should be done daily , then after 7 days when you follow SLGS method they like you to do a curve after 7 days again. And Should they be daily until her dosage changes or no? And I'm doing a curve today, vet had requested to see it a week after starting insulin.
I will definitely try this when I have a day off & am not biweekly curving, thanks. But don't know how often because don't know how I'll be able to afford so many test strips, already running out fast. And is the AMPS/PMPS limit to shoot for newbies 200+??? And in cases like now when you're stalling before shot, if they don't reach that # & you must leave for work, etc.: What should you do? ThanksYes you should test daily after you test her at PMPS to see what his number is
As Elise suggested above

When following the SLGS method
After 1 week at a given dose perform a 12 hour curve, testing every 2 hours OR perform an 18 hour curve, testing every 3 hours. Note: Random spot checks are often helpful to "fill in the blanks" on kitty's spreadsheet. The goal is to learn how low the current dose is dropping kitty prior to making dose adjustments.
So if you can do this on the day you have off this weekend that would be great
You test her BG first thing in the morning AMPS fill the BG number in
Don't feed her 2 hours before you do this, then test him every 2 hours until you get to his PMPS number and fill that BG number in, then some members can take a look at it and give you some advice on what to do
You can give her some snacks during the day like a teaspoon or 2 of her Friskies Pate, always add some water to her food by the way

Yes if it's under 200 we suggest for newbies to not shoot, plus you need to leave for work I see and see you have already stalled , but have to leave and can't monitorI will definitely try this when I have a day off & am not biweekly curving, thanks. Sorry, just seeing this. I was so frantic this morning, I forgot I must've posted something here!Yes if it's under 200 we suggest for newbies to not shoot, plus you need to leave for work I see and see you have already stalled , but have to leave and can't monitor
I guess you would need to skip
Whew, thanks. Makes sense .Sometimes stalling leads to a drop in bg because there’s no food. You stall without food to see if on the way up. Since this was your first blue preshot and you can not monitor tge forstbhaof of tge cycle, skipping was a good idea. Feed and start your day. There will be lots of opportunities to shoot lower numbers.
